Nostalgia Trips through Old Zones, Do You?

Do people here sometimes (or all the time) take nostalgia trips back to Base Game or older DLC zones to relive memories, experience the terrain again, etc? I'm not talking about the Alliance Capital player hubs or starter cities like Davon's Watch, Mournhold, Vulkhel Guard and others. I mean places like Shadowfen, Rivinspire, Malabal Tor, Wrothgar, Hew's Bane, even Murkmire now. I find it pleasant to revisit old locations that don't have any traffic anymore. More peaceful, though the random max level or a couple new players aren't unwelcome to see. In fact seeing players even in these seemingly unimportant zones for the late game tells me ESO is still a thriving game.

For technically no reason at all the other night I decided to travel back to Root Whisper Village and take in the scenery again. It's a beautiful place, even if it's a ruin but at the same time the Argonians are attempting to restart, make it lived in again. The historical remains of the Argonians expertise in stonemasonry combined with the thick overgrowth of the Marsh is memorable. I even did a quest for the daily job broker so I could explore more of the area again.

Can I just say, gorgeous screenshots!

As for the question; I feel like I'm still all over Tamriel due to questing in a lot of places with different characters, so I don't quite feel the nostalgia, yet

I'm in every zone, old and new, all the time as I run my lower level characters through antiquities, gathering skyshards and picking up wayshrines.

I'm not sure about being nostalgic though - it's just what I like doing in the game.

Absolutely! Rivinspire and Alik'r are my favorites for this.

ESO is the only mmorpg I played in which I am always travelling through old zones because there is always something to find or get that I need. I really like that it feels more like a world and less like a theme park on rails.

I do! Luckily we have plenty reasons to do so: dailies, mats, surveys, scrying. Psijic grind *psijic tears*

I consider greenshade my Bosmer characters home (boulder tree) so I often roam for mats and rp adventure there trying to build a familiarity that reflects my knowledge of the local terrain, npcs and creatures to make it feel like I know it like the back of my hand. Greenshade gets a bad rap, but to me, it's the most beautiful zone. Sunny, woodsy & peaceful.

I started a new account so I could take a character through all the content in the same order I did my very first character. I have 18 characters on my main and all of them have done some of the quests kind of random when getting skyshards and other fun things. I needed to start the 2nd account for a fresh character.

Has been a blast so far. Taking my time through zones to make sure I see and do everything has reminded me of some of the little things that make the game fun. Things like notes beside a skeleton that points to how they unfortunate one met their fate.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."
