Won't happen, if they did you would have nothing but constant complaints about people queueing as a fake tank, then leaving the instant they get a dungeon they can't fake tank through. It would be a punishment to the remaining 3 people in the group then rather than the 1 that left.

It used to be that way long ago but players just auto-quit and re-queued until they got a dungeon they wanted.

I imagine the servers got quite hot and bothered during peak queue times back then, not to mention some players. ;)

It's to incentivize players to stick around when their random dungeon drops them in City of Ash 2 instead of Fungal Grotto 1. In general, its to encourage players to give their group a chance for 15 minutes. After that, they can drop with no penalty.

Maybe you wouldn't abuse it to skip out on harder dungeons, leaving groupmates holding the bag, but plenty of players would.

Then don't use Groupfinder if you don't want to deal with teammates who aren't up to your standards. Make a premade group instead.

honestly, they should get rid of the bonus from the first random of the day, and just have the rewards drop from the first last boss you kill instead.

Groupfinder is wonkey, pugs can be a hassle, and sometimes you just dont have time or patience for a DLC dungeon.

Been more than a few times I get in a group that doesn't want to try a DLC dungeon. I tell them if we quit we are getting a penalty we might as well go to the first boss then decide. Sometimes we decide nope not going to happen but most of the time we decide let's keep going.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

No. Will be abused by players doing randoms & looking for quick dungeons.

U wont have penalty if dungeon only 2 members left, 2 will be penalty, 2 will leave fine without penalty. The only way u wont get penalty when have more than 2 players is beg for kick :)

    Certainly not.

You end up in a random you don't want? If you abandon your group, eat the penalty. (especially as a (fake) tank).
    No matter their skill.

Dungeon quit timer is proper and bound to character. I can count the number of times I left a dungeon group on my fingers still. And on the blue moon that I get a group that can't progress, (I can solo most dungeons) I'm sure to offer my services in teaching how to actually play the game, rather than abandoning them to their ignorance. Only if they are then rude to me, and that is very rare but has happened, do I then quit.... and switch characters and requeue.

I can't fathom that absolute irresponsibility that would occur if the quit timer was removed. New comers would never have a chance as people would just dump them over and over again. Got a below 50 doing the actual dungeon quest, quit... got a lower than 810 in a random vet, quit. Of course this only logically works for people queueing as tanks and healers.

Make Friends, join gulds, talk to people, add "nice players" you ran with in the LFG

The fix for "My PUG team sucks" is have an alternate build yourself or Vote to Kick or Log out and switch to an Alt

They do that for the Undaunted Event.

Guess what? Most players want to run Fungal Grotto 1 as fast as possible. They don't have the time or patience to do anything else.

The major point of incentivizing random dungeons is to backfill groups who chose particular dungeo s or who had a member drop out. Your suggestion would make it that much harder to fill groups in harder content, especially DLC dungeons.

That doesn't justify removing the penalty for leaving groupfinder. It just means you've decided the major option for fixing your problem is off the table.

Best hope that the coming Companions do decent DPS, I guess?

I very rarely leave dungeons or kick people. I did recently leave a normal Falkreath Hold with 3 CP180ish players not because the DPS wasn't there but because their strategy was to sprint past literally everything, dying as they went, and fight whatever remained at the bosses. A valid method I suppose, but I'd rather just do it the regular way, so I gladly ate the ten minute penalty farming double drop nodes in Vvardenfell until I could queue again.

The dungeon finder queue is random. You know what you're getting into, by which I mean you have no idea what you're getting into. Speedrunners? Roleplayers? PvPers? Fungal Grotto I? Lair of Maarselok? That's the risk we all undertake if we want that XP chunk and our ten transmute crystals. For the most part I think it's fair to have to deal with the random elements for the reward, and so I think the penalty is fair. Otherwise, group with guildmates or grab a low level player from zone, and assure a quick easy run.
PC NA, CP2500+. Character creation is the true endgame.

Then don't use the feature. When I queue for random norms, I am prepared to carry three level 20s with no tank or healer. Anything better than that is a bonus. I will never use random queue on my tank or healer because I don't want to sit through a dungeon with 15k combined dps. If you're queueing for random vets, don't lol. Organize your own group to farm vet dungeons.

Give them 15 minutes in the dungeon, or wait 15 minutes out of the dungeon. It's not like the penalty is you can't queue again for the rest of the day.

In the random queue, you are signing up to be a mercenary sword that helps a group achieve their goal. Hold up your end of the bargain or pay the "early release fee".

Bad idea. There is a reason why this penalty exists. Removing the penalty would open a pandora's box for griefplay and trolls.

Then do named pledge dungeons and an random normal for the XP and transmute.
At pledge you tend to get much better groups this includes DLC both in normal and vet.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
