Pet Idea: Floating Book/Grimoire

It would be really cool if I had something like a flying spell book following me around for when I’m playing a mage character. It could have magic glowing effects, maybe “flap” in the wind, or just stay closed and float magically and sealed shut to harbor the secrets within. 🙂

Honorable mentions: Flying flaming skulls, schools of fish, clusters of fireflies, ball of light.

P.S.: I would like a return of the clusters of butterflies that I see following people around. I don’t know when they came out or how to get them but they’re really cool.

I like the idea! Not into pets generally but a flying book can absolutely look awesome for a mage character.

I’m not terribly into pets either (due to a lack of interactivity with them) but a floating grimoire would look awesome when posing in screenshots. 😆 It circumvents my usual lack of interest. There’s potential for different “skins” too (book covers). Hermaus Mora book, Psijic eye book, etc etc.

That's the Ancestor Moth Swarm from the Wild Hunt Crown Crates. I don't remember when those were last around

Aside from that, I really like the idea of floating book pets, considering we're seeing some more inanimate objects like the current morpholit

I agree, this would be a fantastic pet to have in-game.

Floating objects in general would be really cool (Swords, Cooking Utensils, Spears, Staffs, etc.)

Just a heads up there is actually furnishings like that in the game atm if you want them! The books float about and levitate, they really do look cool!

True, I was aware of those, but I was thinking more of an open spell tome with mystical writings and more magickal looking, perhaps with a bookmark thread and mystical symbols or particle effects floating up or around it as it hovers or floats about.

Ah gotcha, yeah could be very cool! Another benefit if such a thing were released is I believe "Pets" can be given custom pathing like other Housing NPC's so you could set the book to fly about where and how you like!
