Skip this when doing Clockwork dailies

The best way to earn the Clockwork ticket is by WB quest or matl gathering quest.

However, if you accidentally accept a quest naming 'A Shadow Mulfuction' where you need to locate an unfortunate and troublesome Initiate Favar, you just need to pass it, unless you want to waste 30 mins tripping in this ill-designed dungeon as I did.

The problem which has been reported for months now is that the initiates body is displaced into the ceiling. I was able to get the interaction to trigger but I'm sure lots of people will have problems.

Haha, yesterday I was running around in circles in order to find him. I knew that he was supposed to be found in the room down the waterfall, but as I couldn't find him (I didn't take a look at the wall as he should have been lying on the ground), I thought that I was mistaken after all.
So I looked for him everywhere in the vicinity - unsuccessfully.

So I decided to take a peek at the quest information on UESP, et voilà - the quest is bugged.

I went down the waterfall again and finally found him stuck in the wall - only seeing his legs sticking out of the stone - poor guy.

That's why the NPCs haven't been able to locate him!

he's on celling but his legs are visible and can be interacted with so you can finish the quest

Had this quest today, it works... but you have to aim at the correct spot at the ceiling. This allows you to select/talk to him.

This NPC flew through the ceiling for some reason, must have been a wild party!

A quick Google search showed me how to complete the quest. Actually, it brought me to a post in this forum.

It took me a long time to get this quest done yesterday. I tried reloading UI, porting to other people in the delve, leaving and crossing the map in hopes I'd get another instance when I went back in...nothing worked.
Eventually I began jumping and hitting the interact button (I play a very short wood elf) and that worked.

@ZOS_Adrikoth , could you please let the devs know that this quest is bugged with Initiate Favar stuck on the ceiling? TIA

His foot mostly is visible through the ceiling.
But yes, its a problem as old as the dlc.
But at least you can click on his boot - that rubble of dwemer metal for one Reik daily is sunken in the wall and you cannot reach it. Thats even more annoying.

No, the gathering quest is by far the worst with the number of people going for the nodes.

Slagtown gathering quest is the worst.. Even when there is no event it is still bad.

yep. ran into that bug myself. once you know its a bug and how to circumvent it - its not bad. but that first time figuring out where the heck is that stupid guy... is annoying.

When I was working on my CWC achievement, I spent over an hour going around that delve trying to find the "upstairs room" I assumed the guy was in.

I finally left and came back a few weeks later when I read about the bug and poked him in the legs to finish the quest.

I'm glad I read this thread before getting that quest! Haven't done it in over a year, so didn't realize it's buggy.
