What is the easiest PVE DD class that can also get far?

Looking for something easy but also viable for PvE DPS, I'm getting enough of action and twitching movements in PvP, so I'd like to relax a bit in PVE (if possible). Can anybody recommend a class?

    Stamplar is insultingly easy.

Is it also viable though? I hear stamina classes are pretty much forbidden in endgame PvE :/

Where the frick have you heard that?
Stam classes are pretty OP now compared to most mag (with a few exceptions, namely necro and sorc)
    Hoping for more playable races

Apparently it has to do a lot with mechanics and DPS-upkeep? I've seen lots of people complain in my guild that stam is pretty much dead for endgame PvE because it can't keep up with mag even tho it's stronger. Obviously I have no idea whether that is true, just a concern :)

Well, if you aim for a score pusher group then maybe not. But currently it's top DPS with quite literally one button spam.

    Magcro
I mean sure stamplar is easy to hit numbers because it's mostly just jabs, however few people have any desire to bring Stam into progression groups more so a class that brings very little to a raid group.
Magcro currently doesn't have an incredibly difficult rotation, it's hitting rather hard and the Colossus means that at least 3 cro are desired in a raid comp.
And since mag is easier and more efficient to optimize for in a raid setting, mag is really what you should choose if you desire PvE progression.

Ohhh so it's just for pushing scores where the "no-stam allowed" rule applies? Yeah screw that... I just wanna experience PvE on both normal and veteran. Don't really care for any sort of leaderboards. Perhaps I might wanna get some achievements too if anything.

No it's actually more for progression as well.
It's actually when people score push they go to more stack and burn strategy and makes things more viable for stam.(outside of VCR)
I'm going to tell you on PS4 you probably can't find a single group that would let you prog trials as Stam.

Oh interesting... So it is true... Should I still roll a stamplar then? Or try a mag class rather? Tbh I just wanna be able to run vets as well as normals, although if there is no point running vets other than personal challenge then I might pass on vet.

Magblade, been a top tier PvE choice for DD's since morrowind and will most likely continue to be for quite some time.

A magblade rotation is also the opposite of "easy", though.

Magblade rotation hasn't been difficult since ZOS changed so that bow proc stacks arent lost if the duration runs out. The rotation isn't a problem for years now.

I think it really varies from person to person. I have a hellacious time with Magblade, and Magcro is too clunky to be anything but frustrating to me. I find that Magwarden is the easiest and most fun for me, but most don't agree...

I would say the easiest overall class to play at a high level is magic sorc, but you have to be okay with pets. They have very good ranged DPS and high survival if you need to be isolated to play mechanics in certain trials. Their rotation is probably the easiest to play dynamically (save stamplar) of any class and there are very good static versions of the rotation that don’t lose a ton of DPS if you want to make it a little easier. Mag sorc is one of the more common specs you will see in progression groups, but at the extreme end of things, most raids only have one.

The easiest class currently to pull high DPS is certainly stamplar. You could teach a Gibbon to pull 100k DPS on a trial dummy. It’s basically a jabs spam, 2 skills, a potion, and an ultimate. You do need to be melee and you don’t offer much to the group. It’s so laughably easy that I can’t imagine it will last all that long, but I have been thinking that for a few patches now.

I still believe mageblade is the hardest rotation to play if extreme DPS is your goal. It’s not hard to pull in the 80’s but breaking 100k takes a lot of skill. Much easier to break 100k on mag sorc.

It is definitely easier than it used to be, but it requires an excellent LA weave with merciless, the ultimate is one of the more tricky to manage because it’s so low cost and you want to time it with spam skills for max effectiveness. NB DPS falls off a cliff in a hurry if the rotation isn’t on point. I mostly use my mageblade for farming and for practice DPS. I also use it for the mini trials. Playing mageblade will make your a better DPS across the board. There is no better way to practice and master a dynamic rotation, but the learning curve is steep.

Not Dragonknight that's for sure. I find myself having to jump through multiple hoops just to get a decent build and rotation, and then we kinda lag behind the other classes since our passives are more about being hard to kill than doing damage. Granted it'll be hard to die and I can see that as being an "easy" mode but on DPS checks you might struggle a bit.

No matter what class you pick, youre going to have to figure out a rotation and practice.
Not saying you have to get to top end DPS but you should at least get to 50K on the 21M dummy for vet DLCs

Okay thanks everyone for your advice. I guess I'll roll both a stamplar and magsorc and see what works best for me in the long run :)
