Bleeds & Set Bonuses affecting Bleeds

Hey there,

I cannot test this myself, so I'm asking you guys.


1. Do sets like

Blooddrinker: Increases the damage you deal with bleed damage over time effects by 33%. https://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Blooddrinker+Set

Deadly Strike: Increase the damage your Physical, Bleed, Poison, and Disease damage over time abilities do by 20%. https://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Deadly+Strike+Set

also affect Warden's bleeds from Cutting Dive & Growing Swarm?



2. Furthermore, do the sets mentioned above benefit sets like

Savage Werewolf: Your Light and Heavy Attacks rend flesh, causing your enemy to bleed for 1200 Physical Damage every 1 seconds for 4 seconds. https://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Savage+Werewolf+Set

Pestilent Host: Whenever you kill an enemy afflicted with a poison effect, their corpse releases a writhing mass of fetcherflies, which seek out the nearest enemy within 12 meters, causing them to bleed for 141690 Physical Damage over 10 seconds. https://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Pestilent+Host+Set

So do set bonuses benefit other set effects as well or only "real" skills?

Yes, both of those sets buff Savage Werewolf and Pestilent Host.

Neither of the latter two sets are particularly good though in either PvP or PvE.

If you want a Bleed set for PvE use Pillar of Nirn. It is also buffed by Deadly Strikes and Blooddrinker.

Also, check out Dro'Zakar's Claws. Sadly, it isn't very good but if you really like using Bleeds then you can try it out. Not fun to farm though.

I notice you're using the Fextralife wiki for linking sets, and to each their own and everything, but I thought I'd share this site with you instead. Just in case you're not aware of it already.

Personally, I find it a lot more useful than any of the wikis (UESP is better, imo) for browsing and comparing gear sets -- by a huge margin. The search feature on that site scans the descriptions and everything for all sets, so you end up with much more useful results. For instance, if you wanted to know about all sets pertaining to "Bleed" effects. (Do note, however, that some of those are false positives, due to the "improper" use of the word bleed by the devs. They're not super consistent in the terms, sometimes.)

Just trying to point you to a useful tool, in case you're doing things "the hard way" on the wikis, like I used to. ;P

I just used ctrl + f to search for all sets with "bleed" in their description on Fextralife, which works well, but takes more effort than your alternative website. I might go with that now, thanks!
