since proc sets are being removed...

Just wanna say I don't like how procs become a chees-y way to just like, one shot people and crap. However, I do like how proc sets can sometimes make your class seem like you got something new, and theres at least some extra little wrinkle or affect in your build.

If procs become essentially non-existent in PVP....than can we get more skill lines or weapons available? I feel like every class essentially uses the same skills and the same weapons. There is not much variety. And like it or not, taking out procs reduces that variety by a bit. Without them, builds really become just stat maxing. Or maybe procs can be redesigned to be more creative somehow or skill based.

Anyways, that's all I got. Hopefully people agree!

I get where you're coming from. But then there's the fact that you are not only fighting a player, but also getting hit by the armor they are wearing, which makes no sense. Here is something you put on that is also doing the fighting....

If anything weapon procs make more sense, and it would be nice if they all required the player to do a little more than press a skill. Adding multiple conditions to get the player to actually do something in a fight for the damage to proc. It would be cool if they went in that direction with damage procs, because procs aren't going away.

ZOS literally just changed all the proc sets 2-3 updates ago to reduce conditional checks, get rid of percentage chances, or change them to the most basic form possible: do damage or receive damage. I doubt the server can handle the load of anything more complicated.

    Ah the irony.

But they are procs. Most of them gives you a lot of free stuffs.

Bloodspamw gives you free damage mitigation and ultimates.
Barlogh gives you free burst damage
    Viper gives you free damage
Fury gives you free burst damage
Seventh Legion gives you free burst and free health recovery
Sheer Venom, Vicecannon, Selene, Zaan, Velidreth etc etc etc

We never had any problem with proc sets.

Some solo players start to crying because is not so easy to kill now some pve players. This solo players wana hit a pve player with one dswing and Executioner and go to another one and do the same and the same.

When some pvpers understand that this game is bigger that they wana this game to be and we have room for all kind of build, maybe we will have more pve players coming to Cyrodill surving a little more and starting to get some interest for pvp.

I wana a game that everyone can choose the most build diversity possible.

@UntouchableHunter I dont think Seducer should be considered a Proc; as an example.

I agree, diversity is great and it's what makes ESO stand out among the sea of other MMORPGs. But it's only great if there are direct ways to counter each playstyle. As it stands right now, there is no direct way to counter free ZOS damage, which results in most people taking advantage of ZOS dealing free damage for you, or free healing for you. But look at some examples of things with direct counters:

Health recovery is countered by defile.

Stealth is countered by stealth detection.

Stacking resistances is countered by stacking penetration.

Impenetrable trait is countered by Malacath.

Builds without malacath can be countered by impen trait.

AoE damage can be countered by abilities that reduce AoE damage.

Shield stacking can be countered by oblivion damage.

Dot stacking can be countered by running a purge.

Disabling effects can be countered by disabled immunity.

Speed boosts can be countered by snares.

Snares can be countered by snare removal.

High health can be countered by health reduction abilities and oblivion damage.

Recoveries are hard countered by poisons.

Direct damage can be directly countered with block or dodge roll.

These are just some examples of things players can choose to run in their build, and direct counters other players can choose to run...Rock, Paper, Scissors. But there is nothing that directly counters free ZOS damage or free ZOS healing, other than running them yourself.

An easy solution would be for ZOS to add a new poison that prevents healing procs from activating for 4 seconds. They could also add a new potion ability that makes you immune to enemy proc damage for 6 seconds with a cooldown similar to lingering or invis pots. This would probably be the easiest thing for ZOS to add the the game without creating brand new spells, would protect build diversity and let people who need to run training wheels in order to compete with everyone else still run procs, but would also introduce a direct counter so good players can choose to run a normal build with poisons and pots, and allow them to time their burst windows accordingly which enables them to kill a player running a proc build.

    Everyone wins.
