Do we need an increase in Quest Limit?

As I type this I realize there's a plus to having to complete your quests that you accept.. but on the downside when I'm preparing for an event on 15 characters and hitting the quest limit because Daily Writs + Morrowind dailies + Clockwork dailies 7 + 4 + 3 = 14, almost half of the quest limit.

So does anyone think we need like double the quest limit? Would that even be possible?

I don't personally, because I don't do that many dailies - I can manage writ dailies on 5 CP level characters, but that's all I can stand.

It would be fine with me if they did boost it, though I honestly never have more than a couple in each character's journal. When I finish a quest on someone, I don't even immediately get another one, because I go on to a different character instead.

I have always thought that crafting dailies should get slots that are not fillable so you are always able to do your crafting dailies no matter how many other quests you pick up. The limit is 25 quests now (I think) and there are 7 crafting dailies (again I think) so 18 slots should be able to be allocated to any quest and the other 7 slots should be reserved for crafting dailies. I don't know how people who don't do any crafting would feel about that though. Or increase the limit to 25 ordinary quest slots and an additional 7 reserved for crafting. Would make life for crafters easier.

I am also open to just doubling the limit, would help a lot.

I see no reason to have such a low limit in a game with so many quests.

Some events it makes sense to do the dailies ahead of time, but events where bosses drop event related items it is almost better to wait and run the dailies during the event and not miss out on the event drops.

I get them so I'll have something to turn in + a new daily to do the day it starts. I'll be farming on another account regardless so I'm hoping these style pages aren't as rare as the 2nd Legion ones were.

    Yes, 25 is too low.
I would love them to double the number to 50.

"I want to min-max before an event!" doesn't seem like a good justification for however much work it would be.

...and do people really run around with that many active quests in their logs? I do crafting dailies all the time, but I don't think I've ever even come close to the 25 limit. Probably not even 15. Why are people holding so many active quests, aside from the already-mentioned "preparing for events"?

I dont really need it, but if you consider PVP quests or long quest lines that take more than a few days then its reasonable to assume people can have 5-10 quests open. Like main story quests, or Skill line quests.

Because I don't want to abandon side quests i randomly stumbled upon. I'll have to search for them again, and sometimes I leave in middle of the quest. Not to mention crafting wits + pledges. And on top of that upcoming event will have mamy dailies so your quest log fills up in a second.

Yes, we absolutely need it! Quest limit was not raised since game launched, and currently we have tons of daily and other quests. Crafting writs are obvious, they neeed 7 slots, and it is not convinient to split them, if you do not have all slots free for them when you take quests. Then pledges - sometimes they can be taken early in the morning, but actually done in the evening. Then, sometimes you take MA or VH, but need to go do smth else in the middle of completion, and they take the quest spot. Similar is cyro dailies. You get like 38/40 ppl killed, but need to afk, or no more time to play, so it stays. Same with bg's - getting 3 wins in 3 battles if you are not lucky or if you are a newbie is tricky. And then there are rare situation with master crafing writ, like it is accepted, but later you find, that you lack smth for it, and ofc multiple dailies in every zone.

It would be fine if there was also a better structure, maybe also separated by regions/dlc - similar to antiquities, and additionally you can switch between: main quests (e.g. 5-7 slots), general quests (25 slots), dailies (7 slots), event quests (5 slots) etc.

My understanding is that the more quests you carry in your journal, the more they impact on performance especially loading screens. Whether that only affects PC users with certain addons or whether such addons make the problem worse, I wouldn't know as I neither use addons on PC nor do more than the occasional writ so the limit isn't a problem for me (nor are loading screens or performance generally), but I do think the impact on performance would need to be assessed before any increase in the limit was considered.

The questlimit should be increased. When starting a new character, and acquiring all chosen alliance main town quests, you will already exceed the quest limit!

A fifty quest limit should be reasonable. Maybe do not allow the sharing of dailies, so players can't do multiple of the same daily on one character. Daily sharing is strange in my opinion, it's not really a daily when players can do all variations of the same daily on one day.

My friend, who just bought the game a few weeks ago, ran into this issue. Especially because she is brand new, so the entire game world of quests is there. She didn't realize there was a limit, so she'd grab every quest marker that threw itself at her in addition to crafting dailies and running zone dailies with me (we've been primarily in Summerset to start, and just visited Northern Elsweyr last night). She's essentially had to dump a bunch of them to pick back up some other time because they had just totally filled her quest log and she couldn't grab the crafting dailies recently due to it. We run away from new quest markers for now until she wants to start actually doing those. Especially since her crafting dailies are giving her crafting surveys, and I've been Ubering her to the wayshrines she needs all over Tamriel for that, which means new maps/new quest-givers.

For a brand new player, there is complete and total sensory overload. LOL Some of it brought on by the game itself (like traveling around to do crafting surveys) rather than just us running around to and fro.

    writs (14 or 7 norma,l 7 master)
    PvP (12ish)

This, or rater have dailes in another group, you also have pledges, Cyrodil and IC dailies you might want to hang on to over days, same with harrowstorm and dragon dailies.

I'd like to see the quest limit doubled as well - and I don't even do that many dailies. When I enter a new zone, I don't want to pass by quest givers because I may forget or be unable to find them again. So I pick up all those quests going through a new zone and that can overload the current limit. I'd also love to accept all the prequel/other zone quests for the same reason (and to shut up Stuga, lol).

What I'd also like is the ability to move Stuga-type quests into a category in my quest log of 'maybe later' so I still have them but they are less visible until/if I ever want to actually do them.

I agree with this. Perhaps a fourth category for non-writ & non-PvP dailies wouldn't be bad ihn addition.
