It's back. Escape sequences (like "&39;") showing up in @NAMEs again.

That happened about a week ago. It was apparently fixed within a day or two. Now it's back. The game is reporting my @name with a character escape sequence instead of the usual apostrophe.

Steps:

1. With all addons removed
2. log in with an account name that contains an apostrophe
3. open guild panel
4. observe @name at top left corner of guild panel.

Expected: @name to look as it does on the login screen.

Actual: the @name has the character escape sequence &39; where the apostrophe should be.

I should point out that while the test scenario shown above is done without any addons, and is pretty minor in appearance, the real damage of this bug comes later when settings associated with the correct account name are lost.

This happened to my wife as well. Hopefully whatever is causing the problem gets fixed and stays fixed this time.

It's 2021, the 30 year anniversary of the Unicode standard, and we still have character encoding issues. Computer technology never seems to be able to break free from the bad decisions made in the early 1960's, when memory was unbelievably scarce and computers were utterly pathetic by today's standards. ASCII FTW!

Looks like this got reverted/fixed back to proper account spelling again today. Glad I (now) have daily backups of my settings.
