Should ZOS allow XP merger between accounts on different platforms?

There are many players that have swapped from console to PC in an effort to improve their gaming experience. With the CP soft cap being raised to over 2000, should ZOS allow an XP merger between accounts to allow some form of cross progression?

In my case I have 1300 CP on xbox, and 700 CP on PC. I was excited after months of grinding to finally be back at cap. Now instead of being 100 CP away from cap I'm 1300 CP away... I want to continue on with this game but I genuinely will not be if I'm forced to grind ANOTHER 1300 CP to hit cap. If ZOS provided a slightly acceptable gaming experience on console then many of is wouldnt have needed to regrind in the first place. What do you guys think?

In my opinion there is no reason for XP merger between accounts on different platforms. That's the whole idea about different platforms.

Sounds like an absolute nightmare to do and I don't see the point. Plus it could be abused pretty heavily considering how much easier it is to level a lower account. They aren't compensating players for the XP differential for being over cap now so I don't see why people who have multiple should be given such a massive advantage

This would just lead to account selling as players scoop up unused accounts with high cp for an instant xp boost.

You can't see the obvious potential for abuse?

    Think it through.

I didn't have a problem with having to start again when I swapped from na to eu, but disliked not having stuff I got from the crown store on both servers, although obviously not from pc to Xbox etc.

Hugely annoying, especially as the crowns can be split between eu and na.

There are many games that are capable of offering cross progression without the system being abused, you guys are thinking too narrowly. Destiny 2, Halo: MCC, and many others games offer this basic quality of life feature.

What I'm talking about is in regards to xp gained not cp gained... There would be no advantage if we only consider net experience gain.

I'm honestly shocked to see the opposition here. All that's been stated is that "it could be abused." This is a silly assumption to make. Why are people opposed to this other than the reason that you guys hate console players???? Please explain.

Has nothing to do with "hating console players". It has entirely to do with "why should this even be an idea"?

Seriously, why do you need to do this? Why do you feel "forced to grind 1300 CP"? Why are people seeing this new CP system as "omg, the sky is falling!"

Eh, I've never understood the whole "the game only begins at endgame / must grind to level cap NAO!" silliness. /shrug

Why should this even be a thing? Because I have spent thousands of hours gaining experience in ESO and I would like to use the xp I have gained in ESO. Why is it a thing in Destiny 2? The answer is obvious.

Why are we "acting like the sky is falling." I have been minmaxing pvp builds in mmo's for 20 years. I have no interest in playing unless I can reach the maximum mathematical efficiency with my builds. There are many players who feel the same way.

Please explain how the technical aspect of your proposal would work without us merging everything into one server.

Then you should have put them on one account instead of making the decision to spread you resources across multiple. You made the decision to split your resources. That was the exact choice you made.

I have ~1200CP on XBOX and ~850CP on PC. I'd love to get my net XP from XBOX transferred over considering I've put in the effort and wasn't given the option to transfer my account.

Probably because I didnt own a PC until 4 months ago... I only switched to PC because ZOS doesnt provide a playable pvp experience on console.
