How would a monk class work without weapon enchants?

Weapons are important for combat in ESO but monks fight empty handed so how would that work? Could they get gauntlets or brass knuckles to enchant?

Passives that give enchantment bonuses to fists. perhaps an "enchantment slot" or something.
But you could just use Poisons to get similar effects.

I feel like not having enchantments would be part of the fun.

In my version of Monk I have an "alchemist" skill line where you can modify your skills by the potion in your quick slot.

A big issue with ESO is just how similar all the classes are having a class that just operates completely differently would be fun.

Swg had a similar system with TK - unarmed fighter. They'd use knuckle dusters but the majority of the balance in damage effectively came from damage passives. Could work well here too

It’s funny because I see so much hype for a monk or unarmed lately and I’m totally down for either. I remember in es3 morrowind I loved doing acrobatic hand to hand combat and as well in oblivion.

Toggle skill like Mend Wounds. Replaces your light attacks with a little healy ball from your hands. A melee damage-focused monk skill like this could easily hide weapons when active
