It's a middle of the week on a workday, either morning or early afternoon. There's literally no better time to have maintenance than now. Try to find something else to do for those few rare hours where the servers are down.
I bet they play scrabble until someone is able to make the word "maintenance", with bonus points for "extended". Only then they will bring the servers back online!

other similar games take 2 hours, for PATCHES.
What goes on in 6 hours of **maintenence**???
