I bet they play scrabble until someone is able to make the word "maintenance", with bonus points for "extended". Only then they will bring the servers back online!

Pacific-Asia gets the worst f'n deal... 6pm to 12 midnight once a week, so ZoS can play Scrabble and do Tai Chi while they turn the servers on and off.

No maintenance -> bad, maintenance -> bad... There's just no pleasing you people. XD

It's a middle of the week on a workday, either morning or early afternoon. There's literally no better time to have maintenance than now. Try to find something else to do for those few rare hours where the servers are down.

if you think programming/updating a game a vast as eso is something easy to do you clearly have little grasp on the mechanics of such things.

Well hopefully once the updates are made they test them to see if all is well. If not, we get to test them. LOL!

Considering how just yesterday, the servers hit the login servers hit the fritz in peak time and at the end of the Midyear Mayhem, a 6 hour maintenance is warranted.

except there are 6 hour maintences every week, and it seldom makes a difference to anything.

I know exactly what it takes... I'm an IT guy. I just like to make light of the situation, as I know threads like these only exist because some players are bored.

Y’all are mad now about that six hours, just wait until the servers return and melt, Resulting in more maintenance time

If it were less than 6 hours, I would accuse ZOS of negligence for their online product. I would rather they do something during those 6 hours, even if its not fixing something that I dont find important than do a 10 minute maintenance where the servers just reset.

Trust me, 6 hours is a small price to pay when considering the alternative, whether you think ZOS are lazy with PC/EU servers or not.

Well then go play those other games or do some chores. 6 hours on a day really isn't much.

ESO always had long and many maintenances and you shouting about it won't change it. I can tell you that they have already improved it tremendously over the years. Sometime back we had weekly maintenance with at least 8-10 hours and it regularly getting extended. Nowadays we have maint every 2 weeks and many of those are only two hours long. Of course stuff often breaks still, but overall it has become a lot better. ~30 hours of planned maint a month vs less than 10.

ZoS has made some very poor decisions when developing the game, server structure was one of them and you can't just easily undo that. At least they are improving it.
