Actual belts should be a thing (outfit moan)

lets face it on the outfit system waist is often the most boring and useless part all it does is add a buckle and half the time they dont fit with any different outfit and hang there floating in front of your character.
I really do feel like waist style needs a change to add actual belts to styles, seperate the armour hips attachments from chest to add to belts, this way more varrying styles could be added such as sword holsters (cent remmeber the actual name for them) viles of potions books satchels and other items would really make your character look unique.

It would be hard with all the clipping, but if they took things like hip flaps, tied those from the chest piece to the belt, then it would make a lot of other armors look better while also giving the cosmetic ideas you have a place to work on any already existing style.

I agree with the belt part. Only style that adds stuff to your belt is the Fang Lair Chests if I am not mistaken (2 books).

They also have to make armor pieces resize according to your toon. Some helmets look huge, almost like a bobblehead. Shoulders that dont fit (a huge shoulder with a spaghetti arm below) e.g. Iceheart on a mage toon. I made an Altmer magden and shoulders were ridiculously huge to the point of being silly. I had to drop them for another part.

while i agree clipping can be a pain i feel it could possibly help as right now a lot of chest armours clip through legs BECAUSE of the often massive hip guards.
removing them and placing them on belts could correct this at the same time, granted it would be something that takes time if done right but i feel it would add a huge quality of life to the game's outfit style.

I wish they replaced belts with a second pauldron. That way we could mix and mach looks a bit more and we wouldn't loose an armor slot. One can dream.

I love the idea of lots of belts and using them for any/all attachments (hip flappers, butt flappers, crotch flappers, pouches, books, vile cases, etc)! I'd avoid all the ones with flappers of course but some of my chars would love to have a belt that added a pouch/satchel at their hip.

Remove all flappers from all chests. Use light armor belts for magic/book/utility additions. Use heavy armor belts for flappers. Use medium armor for a mix or combinations for leather flaps or utility additions.

Yeah the clipping would be all of the place and just look worse.

Half the time if you aren't using the belt that is in the same motif as your chest and legs the buckle clips as well anyway.

I doubt they would or even could change the belts. Turning them into actual belts would cause a lot of clipping etc.

But what they could do is be more creative and not give us big beltbuckles all the time! Why does it always have to be a beltbuckle? Why not have some pouch/bag, a scroll, potion bottles, small book etc. That would make the belts a lot more interesting and wanted as motifs go.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

most chest pieces have belts already, always seems sill that we dont have a hide belt option.

definitely the case for Elder Argonian you just choose the center piece but the belt is already there.

Agreed about belts but does anyone else have a hard time finding leg pieces that looks good and fit with the rest of the outfit? I dislilke the back part of pretty much every leg piece
