Why Incap and Soul have no instant cast time but Leap?

I want a 2021 version answer.

    Because leap has a delay due to the flight time to hit the target. You can see it coming and react accordingly.

    Incap has a delay where you cant do anything after it is cast.

    Incap has a cast time, which for me often means that it fires, but on my screen it says "target is out of reach" and it does not hit anyone. Ulti is spent, even tho is requires a target, which was... out of reach.

    Soul tether, that skill you can cast 5 times in a row, animation happens, the toon makes the cast "uughh" sound but it never actually goes off and no ulti is spend.

    Pls add these functions to all ulti skills. Pretty please. With sugar on top. Nb ultis are so overpowered, so other ultis need this too!!!

    You're right. Leap has a travel delay but no true cast time.

    This should be changed immediately in the interest of fairness. All cast times should be removed and ultimates made instant cast again.

    Warden Trees always had a hidden casttime, despite being nerfed to uselessness. Leap comes with a casttime but also with one of the strongest snares in the game.

    This is from a document posted in this ^ thread:

    Nightblade:
    Assassination:

    Death Stroke (both morphs)
    - Getting stunned during the cast makes you lose ultimate points.
    - Getting stunned during the cast locks you in a CC making you unable to break free until the cast time is over.
    - During the cast the enemy can sprint out of range cancelling the skill.

    Incapacitating strike:

    - This morph gets greyed out between 120 ultimate and 136 ultimate (this depends on your cost increase passives from sets such as New moon acolyte).

    So it seems that it is not the cast time alone that is causing this ulti not to work as it should. It is that there are various bugs on top of this skill having a cast time. And some of them are even a direct consequence of this ulti having a cast time lol :open_mouth: .

    @Tommy_The_Gun Incap greying out is so incredibly annoying. It's an issue with vamp too.

    When I run stage 3 on my stamblade it greys out at 120 and comes back as available again at 125. It's an issue when initiating combat, because if I'm floating around 100ish I have to judge whether I'll need to use it, and having it grey itself out right when you need to use it is super triggering.
