House Garden

Would it be possible to have a garden for our house that we could harvest mats (ie corn flower, dragonthorn, etc) from, say once a week?

Cornflower would definitely go down in price.

And yes its an fun idea who make houses more useful while driving down the cost of the most expensive plant based ingredients.
All from pots with single plants to fields with say 16 plants.

Yes my Skyrim mod with the farming hoe would probably not work. In short you created dirt piles with it who could be used to plant a plant, upside was that it was no limit on how large farm you could make :)
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Gardens to plant ingredients for harvest every 1-2 days or 1 week (with a cap on how many we can place).

Mannequins and Weapon Plaques to place our motif/outfit styles on.

Spawn and Respawn points so we can choose where exactly players load into our homes.

    More furnishings slots.....

There’s still stuff that they can do :p

Gardening would be an interesting addition, but it'd need to have a limit, so that people who own all houses don't gain an advantage over those who only have a few or none.

Wouldnt really see it as an issue. Easier access to plants, more plants on the market, lower price for mats.

If I remember correctly you harvest plant mats in TES Morrowind in your house. Would be a nice addition to the game. I would restrict it to one garden per house per account with a single harvest per week.

make patches for them as collectible like storage chests - 1 patch, 1 plant on it in any house you are in and so you plant it in 1 house and you get it same planted in 2nd house, you harvest it in 1 house - it is also harvested in 2nd house also

20 hrs seems to be a decent cooldown. Also, I like that mannequin idea.
But considering that ZOS has been releasing the burden of the server, I doubt they'll never respond to this suggestion.

Once in a week is a too long timespan for an online game. One Corn Flower unit may yield 4 spell pots and you use that in 5-15 minutes depending on the group. Now 1 per day, just like in Skyrim would (though in Skyrim you could get more than that) would not only supply players with a not-so-rare ingredient (just over-demanded) with a high combat weight but also put the greed of ingredient farmers' on check for a while, helping to balance the market prices.

Regardless, I'd totally buy it... as long it's not "house-bound", allowing me to buy the garden plot once and set it up in multiple houses (even if it doesn't allow me to change its "contents" like Storage Chests)

I would be happy if they just gave us all the alchemy plants to use as housing items to build a garden, it is not that hard to get alchemy mats.

I like this idea, but with a couple of conditions:

    1) I'd like individual pots or spaces for plants which we can place wherever we want, rather than a whole 'garden' object that has to be placed together. I'd like to be able to dot the harvestable plants around, mixed in with furnishing plants, or maybe even grow them indoors, rather than have to have a whole garden object I have to make space for.

    2) I'd like to be able to change which plants are grown in those spots. So for example you buy a harvestable plant pot, place it in your house and then place corn flower or bugloss or whatever plant you want inside it and it will grow, then you can swap it out when you want to, rather than having to buy a cornflower node which will only ever grow cornflower. (Otherwise everyone will get that one at first, the price will drop and players will complain they've wasted their money.)

It would be interesting to see what effect this does have on the economy. For example cornflower is not actually any rarer than other flowers, I see it growing quite frequently out and about, so I don't think the high price is due to a lack of supply coming into the game. But it's difficult to know how much of that makes it into guild stores because so many players are not in a guild with a store and others may not sell cornflower. I don't think this would make a big difference to the overall supply, but the fact that it could place a portion of that supply directly (and conveniently) in the hands of people who would sell it might make a difference.

It could also be made more realistic by letting the various plants grow differently in a different environment (better / worse - on Vvardenfell, for example, mushrooms could grow particularly quick and be harvested in shorter intervals).

Having a garden was one of the things I liked about FFXIV's housing system. One of the key things is you can do is crossbreed to create rare plants that are used in crafting rare items. They also fetched high prices in the AH since whether a crossbreed would work or not was rng which kept the item rare. Something like this would probably help from collapsing the herb market as selling currently high demand items like cornflower from the garden wouldn't make as much sense as selling resulting crossbreeds. No matter I would like to see the ability to create garden plots that produce usable crafting items.

I have long wanted more interactive type housing items that add functionality to our homes. Harvestable nodes of all the various materials would be really nice to have. It would also be nice if you could get minigames to setup in your house as well, like a card game, or dice etc.
