I’m not exactly sure what the thread title is asking, but VD will hit you once for each person its wearer kills near you. That’s its intended design and why people who use it are called bombers. It triggers chain reactions.
It looks like somebody died to the bomblade’s initial attack, which caused everyone in the proc radius to take damage from VD (11,960 in your case). Then a second person died to the bomber, quite possibly due to the damage from the first one’s VD proc, and that second death procced VD again to finish you off. Your death will in turn have hit any other of the bomber’s enemies in the radius for another hit (how much depends on their defenses), and so on until everyone in the radius of VD was either dead or had survived the last hit.
That’s why people with relatively low health and defenses in Cyro (especially when they don’t block while a group of players stands close together on flags or near doors) are often called “VD procs” — they’re easy targets to start that chain reaction if a bomber’s around. During Midyear Mayhem, when a lot of PvEers are trying out Cyrodiil, it’s easier than normal to find players running lower health builds with lower resistances that make good targets for a bomblade.
I didn't realize they had changed VD. Been away for a while. It used to just proc once. Makes sense why I am seeing more successful bombers than there used to be.
