I have a gamepad that has a joy stick but it only works in the gamepad mode as a joystick. I cant stand the controller UI thou. The only addons iv found for this are out of date and dont work at all 
Iv used google but only one it links me to are 3 in all. 2 of which are completely out dated and the 3rd is from early last year but no longer works...
