Unpopular opinion? Do corporations ever care about their clients.

So, Stadia was a huge mistake ZoS . Fact. And thousands here told you that. Wasted money, time, resources for something everyone knows now, Google will eventually drop all together. Now your latest survey clearly shows you are putting resources, time, and money into the Next Gen facelift fad. As one here since the beginning, all I can say is wtf. You will have meager returns for it. Meanwhile, as you have said yourself, the original code was a mess. You could have used all resources from both ventures you have/are doing to hire a team to completely recode the game clean, fast api, smaller clients, stable servers. So, thanks for listening. Hope this hits the waste basket in one shot, when you crumple it up and discard it after reading.

People care about users, corporations don't. I also fail to see how stadia was a good idea. It's just adding one more week to the release cycle of each update...
Reworking the code is a daunting task, that would definitely favor the game on the long run, but I have a strong feeling the investors are pushing the game towards short term decisions. We can already be grateful they planned to upgrade the aging hardware.

Well cooperation's care about the bottom-line if they are not idiots.

Stadia was an mistake we can say now. Wonder how long until google drops it.

Next gen facelift is pretty needed down the line and should be pretty easy as its mostly changing the graphics settings.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    . . .

Stadia is what you cite as an example of a corporation not caring about their customers? R... really? Really? That is... that's just...

What do you mean the predatory monetization is "in" the cash shop?

    Initial purchase is required.
    There is a subscription.
    DLCs are sold separately.
Latest chapters have to be bought separately (not in crowns) and are not included in the subscription.
There is a shop that is not cosmetic only and allows to bypass the completion of content (e.g motif books)
    There are limited time offers.
There are limited time loot boxes/gacha.
Selling crowns for gold is partially supported.

    Unrelated : Daily login reward.

I agree entirely that Stadia was always doomed. To start with nobody believes a Google service will not randomly close down as they've killed so many things people relied upon. That aside there are too many vested interests in non-cloud gaming. PC makers, game companies, particularly companies who supply libraries and toolkits for games and lots of other don't want it to happen because they are scared of Google turning into a gatekeeper for gaming as Apple did with the ipad/iphone and soon mac. Customers don't want it to happen because they know internet providers will then try and screw them for "pay to play" style low latency internet packages at high prices and because they've already paid for the PC anyway.

That said I still think an MMO written a few years from now will look an awful lot more like Stadia than ESO. Thin clients with only certain latency critical activity or otherwise bandwidth heavy actions, and the rest server side. It helps deal with cheating, it makes updating and debugging much faster and in many cases it's massively more efficient because you can centralise shared calculation.

No and there is no reason to expect them to. They care about clients when it gets them to spend more. Corporations have plenty of benefits when reigned in that we benefit from every day. Morality is not one of them. You wouldn't go to a mathematician for woodworking advice. You dont go to a corporation for moral advice.

Not in the sense that a small business owner might. Corporations are staffed by people. Large corporations have a lot of employees. Some of them care, some of them just want to collect a paycheck, some of them hate their jobs. The company culture also comes into play on how they treat their employees and customers.

    Its a catch 22
They do care about their clients to a certain extent.
They need to keep their clients happy in order to continue to make money.
Corporations that do not make money cease to be in business.

The other thing is that with many many clients, you are never going to make them all happy.
Its impossible. So you keep the majority happy.
