Can we please make DW more viable for PvP?

I'm honestly fed up by Everyone running with a 2hander including 5/6 of my own stamina characters....

I run DW on my backbar and I've had 0 issues, I see a lot of people commenting about DW not being viable but I use it on two characters I've been running through the event without any issues.

How will you spam heals when you have to constantly attack to keep up the same DPS as 2 handers?

I haven't had this issue at all, so I can't really answer that question.

Bring back old shrouded dagger and buff whirling blades by reducing the cost slightly or increase the range by 1m.

Man, so sick of 2-handed in general. In pvp dual wield is relegated to a backbar execute, which 2-hand does better anyway. 2-hand can also be your front bar and has rally.

I run 2h/dw, I've seen people successfully use DW as their main bar.

You technically CAN run DW on your main bar but you're still sort of "forced" to run 2h back bar because if you'd run a bow or SnB you would be seriously gimping your abilities and healing on some classes... All classes in fact cause it's a an extra burst heal from rally.

DW lacks a functional gap closer, blade is clunky as heck.
Rally is PACKED with buffs and gives you a huge heal, DW doesn't have a substitute.
The passives boost your regen and upfront damage immensely on 2h.
D-swing is amazing once you learn to take advantage of it.

DW has an AoE undodgeable execute that everyone nowdays blocks anyway unless it's a potato NB. Perhaps the only positive part.

And speaking of NB try melee NB without a burst heal from Rally. It's painful. It's not like playing a stamsorc who as the only class can fully utilize DW without a drawback. And even then you're giving up the regen and heal part of 2H.

I run dw mainbar, sword n board backbar. I have no complaints besides the zero iQ needed to operate with vateshran staff. You stun em, bash em, block, roll dodge, nothing works, and 15 metres to break the chain.. This is lame

I guess I’ve not encountered anyone of these people successfully using DW in cyrodiil... I can’t remember the last time I saw a DW skill in my death recap, including whirling blades. I don’t like the idea in the other thread of nerfing the 2H execute, I like the suggestions here to (slightly) buff whirling’s range and/or give daggers back the increased damage on 2nd and 3rd targets. Clearly 2H is used more and is currently far more effective in all aspects.

Dual wield is very viable in PvP. Look at a master dual wield stamdk. Tell me how that isn't strong?

I run dual wield main bar on my stamplar, with 2 hand back for snare removal. Provides a solid execute, and since stamplar has a decent spammable, no need for dizzy. That plus stamplar has an ok gap closer, even though it costs mag to use.

I sometimes use dual wield on my stam dk, but it depends on the build I am running. Often I use it paired with leap and blood thirsty to get nasty aoe executes after leaping into a group. Plus, it provides some more dot like damage that fits right into the DK toolkit. But it really does depend on the build I am going for.
