Keep Current Cyro Settings Permanent

I stopped playing entirely. Canceled my annual. Etc. I'm gonna guess about six months ago.
All because Cyro was unplayable.

Popped back in for Midyear Mayhem cuz Dutch @DUTCH_REAPER said it was performing.

You know what? He was right! Lag is minimal. Even in prime time and even at locations that have historically been strangely dependable in their unreliability. Ales Farm, Roe FD, Dragon, Alessia mineside...

So... to ESO:
Whatever settings you have rolling now - KEEP THEM. EVERY SINGLE SETTING.
THEN start rolling things back one... tiny... step... at a time.

Though I recommend leaving the double AP for last as it's going to completely change your population and that will skew all of the potential troubleshooting you could obtain from this process.

A pittance 2c from a troubleshooter.

I missed this game.
It's so much fun though when it works!

    Seriously?
I come in here... after such a break.

And ESO gotta prove me a liar.

Ignore. Lag * issues back tonight apparently.

Right now while we have the extra population and servers is the perfect time to ask if ball groups are impacting performance. People make a lot of statements during the rest of the year that performance is better during MYM. I have personally always found that sometimes it is, and sometimes it is not. So whether the performance is good or bad on any particular server at any particular time, are there ball groups running at that moment? Is there a correlation? Right now while everyone is conscious of it is the best time to look at it and ask the questions. If ball groups happen to go to one of the lesser populated servers for a night because of long queues does that server tank while the main server runs better? No better time to get observations of this phenomena than right now. Not sure what the answer is, but could answer some questions.

It does tend to skew to better performance just because the ball group players are competing for the same spots as pvers. As a ball group has to be full and can't just take whoever gets in means that plenty of the people playing aren't those designated aoe spammers, hence the better performance.

At the moment I can't play PvP in Cydoriil because I get disconnected every time I approach a big fight. Good to hear that some people are feeling improvements though! I hope they are going in the right direction.

@Kungfu I missed u. Also, the lag is bearable outside of GreyHost since the other camps have pop due the event. Of course, when the event goes away, we lose the pop and options of places to go where there are players to fight, then we are stuck with Lag Host again.

Just a quick update for ya :)

A bunch of them came to Blackreach and the server has been nothing but lag the entire event, counted 5 different AD teams running around tonight, none of which regularly play on BR. Glad to hear their leaving Greyhost made it better over there though, enjoy the break! ;)

ZOS doesn't invest more in PVP ->

I hate to burst your bubble, but the only reason it doesn't lag is because most campaigns are full of PVE players. A large amount of the pop caps are being taken up by questers, and the APM of the average player is likely much lower than normal.

In fact it still can lag in off campaigns, but not as horribly.

The locked out campaigns are still laggy as all hell. The auxiliary campaigns have been working well enough to meet my satisfaction.

It's simple, PvE are amateurs and they don't know how to make a decent lag in Cyrodill ;D
