    My guess is that they will make new non-story NPCs for all the companions and their quests.

    I support Gabrielle too. But I really wanted to have (a beautiful version of) Serana (not that ugly piece of... y'know)
    I am the very model of a scientist Salarian, I've studied species Turian, Asari, and Batarian.
    I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).
    My xenoscience studies range from urban to agrarian, I am the very model of a Scientist Salarian.

    But what happens if you do a quest with Gabrielle while you have Gabrielle as your companion? Then you'll have 2 Gabrielles following you... wait that actually sounds fantastic I fully support this.

    It would actually be fitting to her character too, she prolly screwed up another teleport spell and accidentally duplicated herself.

    I know it's not going to happen but I'd definitely take Razum Dar along on my adventuring.

    Diablo III has this very system in place! Your followers are NPC's you meet during quests, and you can "meet" them again while their follower version is with you, if you redo the quest. What happens in Diablo is that the two versions of that NPC talk to each other, usually to humorous effect. :D (IIRC, the two versions of Lyndon the Scoundrel will compliment each other on their good looks and charm, for example.) I would love something similar in ESO that doesn't ignore that there are two of the same NPC at the same time.

    Gabrielle the Companion, after meeting Gabrielle the quest NPC: "I know my name isn't the most unique, but I've never met another Gabrielle Benele before! And did you notice she had the same hairstyle too? Hmmm...wait, you don't think she's been...following me, do you?"

    If I could have NPCs as companions, I'd love Lady Clarisse Laurent and Stibbons. Every chapter and DLC I hope to run into them and see what they're getting into now.

    I would like them as guests. Have Lady Laurent *** about her quarters and set Stibbons on some chores path will be fun :)

    I don't think so. You know how much money they'd make if they sell Naryu or Razum-dar as followers? It would be insane not to make use of that.

    I would absolutely fund a Gabrielle companion. She's cute, spunky, smart, and hilarious. Definitely one of ESO's best characters, especially for base game.
    Shortly after the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a Nord woman was given a tour of the Tribunal Temple. When later asked about the experience, she seemed upset. Suffice to say, the Dunmer were not pleased to hear this, and thus they inquired further.
    "Well," the Nord frowned, "the priests were very angry and unwelcoming. They kept shouting things at me like "you can't drink that mead in here!" and "somebody stop her, she's running naked!" and "we can't catch her; she's covered in grease!""

    I would only want this if I could berate--er, debate--Gabrielle about some of her bad takes vis-a-vis the schools of magic.

    How about Skordo the Knife? Raz, as someone else suggested? I'd love to bring Aranias along on some adventures, but I have a feeling her new post-quest job keeps her indisposed.
