What if we made the new zones harder. What if normal mobs were like elite mobs and elite mobs were like like dungeon bosses? What if world bosses in this new zone were like normal trial bosses? What if rewards were increased? Wouldn't be fair to new players? There are plenty of other zones they can play in but what if we have a NPC that hangs out at the wayshrine in this new zone and will buff you ( 2 hr buff) so that the difficulty of the zone is now like a typical new zone now? But we decrease the rewards you get when the buff is active.

It would basically be like what new players get now but a bigger buff for the harder zones.

I'm a returning player and am discovering why I left in the first place.
10 hours of dialogue for a 5 minute quest.
The fact that the majority are the same thing but with different dialogue.
How your quest journal can become full without you realising it. You seem to pick up quests just by walking past someone. You should have to manually have to opt into a quest and not pick up 3 by talking to a farmer.
The confusing and broken mess your quest journal becomes.

XP is also not really a worthwhile reward, as most players that look for more of a challenge are effectively maxed out in that regard.

    @Faulgor
Not true when Update 29 comes out. Another person recently posted that you need at least 2100 CP in the new system to really fill out the best damage-dealing passives. This means that players who are currently CP-capped will very likely need to grind XP again. (After 5 years of avoiding grinding, i'm only around cp1840 myself - there will be SOME players already above 2100CP, but very very few). So having bonus XP gained as an incentive seems viable to me.
@Pyr0xyrecuprotite I wish this would either stop being propagated or at least include context.

It does not take 2k+ CP's to have equivalent capability. About 1300 will get you access to the equivalent to what you have now, as much of it as the game will allow at one time, anyway.

You can go full glass cannon for ~1200. The extra points come into play for things like mitigation passives, extra health, etc. The 1700+ numbers come into play to have full access to the slotable passives without having to CP respec (which will still be 3k gold, as I understand it).

You can still only have four slottables at a given time per constellation, and that will be the key power limiting mechanic in CP 2.0, regardless how many CP's beyond you actually possess. At 1800, you're going to have access to everything you'll need, you just may have to spend the occasional gold to rearrange it at first.

Regarding the original thread, they're not about to improve the trash mob AI and cause the server more work anytime soon.

Artificially increasing the difficulty by gear limiting or CP limiting is what you've got to work with right now.

Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.

There is no quest giver besides the crafting daily boards, that i know of, that you get multiple quests at once. There is also no need to pick up all the quests you walk by. They will still be there later. Also no need to read the dialog as the quest info in your journal will give you the important info. It sounds like you are frustrating yourself for no reason.

PS: The quests/dialog/stories in this game are considered one of its best features that set it apart from other MMOs.

If the game is too easy for you, because you're so super-uber, just go solo Kyne's Aegis Vet in hard mode. EZ, right?

The point is not so much that it is simple, but that overland and questing are boring. There is nothing to do at the locations. If you do not have a raid, or all your friends are busy to go to the dungeon with you, then it is better to leave the game. Now I do not have a raid, and I found that for a month now I have been logging into the game only in order to complete crafting dailies.
