Can’t invite people to group/can’t have crown once in group

For some reason one of my characters can’t invite people to a group and I can’t have the crown once I’m in the group and the person I play with most has had the same issue for weeks now, I don’t have this person blocked/they don’t have me blocked, I’ve tested it with other people and I can’t invite them either it’s very annoying.

I’m not communication band on eso or on Xbox I can still whisper, mail things, sell in guild traders I don’t know what the issue is. I would really like this to be fixed because as of now I can’t even play with my friend. has anyone else encountered this issue and if so how did you fix it?

Can you play with others? Is it only an issue between you and your friend linking up?

Other people can invite me to a group. I can be in a group with said friend but only if there’s a third person holding crown and if the third person logs off or leaves the group it’s immediately disbanded.

NA. I did submit a ticket but I wanted to see if the player base had encountered this issue and if they knew a way to fixed it, because on the weekend tickets usually don’t get a response. It was fine before when just my friend had the issue because I could start the group but now we both have this issue.

Encountered. Completing a dungeon with said person fixed it.

I will try that thank you. it’s our battlegrounds characters we don’t usually do dungeons on them, might be why the issue hasn’t been fixed yet.

Generally a server reboot / patch fixes it as well. I think about 20% of my guild has had it at one point or another, as it is like a virus and can be passed from one player to another. We tried helping one guildie on advice from ZOS support, grouped with him, did what they said and the whole group of us ended up bugged instead of him being fixed. It is super annoying.
