Does this armor drop from the boxes? Or do you have to buy it from Impressario.

I've opened hundreds of boxes and have yet to get one piece.

    They drop from IC bosses:
NEW Ebonsteel Armor Outfit Style Pages

Become a true knight of Tamriel with these new tradeable Outfit Style pages, dropped by bosses in the Imperial City, including those found in the city itself and the sewers.

I just wish they would stop with the loincloths... It's the one thing they have done to armour since the game launched that I hate.

Or make them a part of the belt so that I can pick and choose which butt-flap I want to use.

The drop rate for these is atrocious. Killed 18 boss’s yesterday and no drops. On my 9th boss today and still no drops. Guess I’ll just buy them with tickets. Got the chest, legs and shoulders bought so far. I’m hoping for at least 1 drop today at least.

It is very nice. I just wish I could get a page to drop. Well over a week left still, and I don't care for the skin, so that's at least 2 pages I can buy for tickets instead.

I've been trying to get these motifs and the pet fragments to drop since the beginning of the event, and I haven't seen a single ebonsteel page. I must have killed at least 30 IC sewer bosses this morning because I set aside time to farm, and I only saw two second legion motifs drop. I lost count of how many I did yesterday. As for pet fragments, I got one from a box on the first day and haven't seen a single one since.

The armor is awesome, but the drop rate is terrible. I mean, legion zero and second legion were a grind, but this is crazy.

I've completed my collection (by purchasing the last piece with tikets).
Traded one piece i got double and was really lucky toward the end.
Found an extra piece i'm selling in shining coins for 180k (really cheap if you ask me).

    Total boss killed................... 218 :#

This event is such a chore if you want to complete it. I'm a big grinder but still. Zos please fix the droprate this is no fun.

@ArchMikem It's possible that visor is the stamina upgrade for the horse, which would make it hideable. You should look into that.

Fun fact*: You actually need to equip one of your sharp-eyed and well-trained non-combat pets to serve as a seeing eye critter for the horse. Otherwise it just runs into every tree, rock, and fence post along your way, like you're in Red Dead Redemption 2!

(Fun fact* as in, a fact that is made more fun because I just made it up and it's not at all true)

Agreed I like horses more grounded in reality compared to what we get in a lot of crown crates. The Holdbreaker Steed from Greymoor is pretty nice too.

Aren't blinders on horses an actual thing so they don't get scared and buck the rider? I would guess they are entirely guided by the rider.

Nope they're default and the upgrades don't affect them. I immediately bought it so I know. I love the rest of it though, especially the orange bits. Named it Tank.

Horse blinders are on the sides of their eyes, to block things in their periphery spooking them before they can see what it is.

Though envisioning blinders that straight up cover their eyes while the rider steers them with literal blind faith gave me a pretty good chuckle, so thank you for that! lol

Blinders are used on carriage horses to keep the horse from seeing other vehicles/horses coming up on them from the side, in order to prevent them from being startled, but their forward vision is not impaired and they are able to see ahead of themselves. The blinder only blocks the animals peripheral vision. Blinders are not typically used for situations where the rider is mounted on a horse. They are usually only used in circumstances where a horse is pulling a wagon or carriage.

ETA: They are used on racehorses, however, to keep the animals under control and going forwards rather than spooking/attempting to fight with other horses on the track, but are normally not used on a riding horse. I can imagine blinders being used on a war horse for the same reason- to prevent them from spooking, but this design is impractical, and again, the animal would still have it's vision in front of it.

Chaffron (the head armor on a horse) were used on horses in the past to prevent their eyes and head from being injured in battle, however, they looked nothing like what you see on this particular mount. A visor of this type was not used. In fact, the placement of the visor on the mount would not even allow a horse to see as its eyes are completely covered by all that strapping and the place where the visor joins the rest of the chaffron. The slits in the front are positioned over its nose, and the animal wouldn't be able to see anything out of them. The horse would be blinded and unable to see in this helm.
