Graphics Update
Has there been any mention of a graphics update coming with the new patch or anytime soon?
I think the textures across the board (especially ground) could use some serious love. A lot of the new content is looking better but overall it needs some updates.

Well that’s a lie. Lots of MMOs get graphical updates with WoW being the most prominent. Yes it would most likely come with an expansion but expansions are patches in their own right.

Updating textures on pre-existing models is absolutely something you can do. Especially when dealing with the environment trees, ground, ground cover, etc.
I am not saying they need to completely remodel everything but updating textures or adding another LOD to assets in a game is something that can and has been done. The most obvious example being WoW over the years.0 -

✭✭✭Absolutely possible hell warframe just did a level graphics update redoing mesh and textures to be extremely high quality but less of a burden on servers and gfx cards to render1 -

Over the years they have worked on textures animations and Biomes....I was a very vocal opponent against the Hero/homebrewed. engine I wanted the unreal engine 4 and I wanted it now....well as we all know I stick my foot in my mouth a lot on this forum, because they have taken this engine and improved it quite a bit, hell if they get an improved cloth system, and the allowance of better preprocessor functionality for the physics. The game will look as good as any other MMO out there (with the exception of BDO )
I can see them doing a major graphic overhaul years down the line but not when they finally have the engines functionality zeroed in.0
