How much space does the game use?

Shadowblade001
I started ESO a few years ago but then they hit me with a 30 GB patch for DLC that I was never going to use or pay for, but they said it just HAD to be downloaded onto my PC.

So I stopped playng.

Now that download allowance is not such a problem, I am thinking of coming back.

But how big is the game now? IfI patch and update my old install, how much of a download will it be and how much disk space will be required, assuming no On Demand Patching or partial downloading?

Cheers!

It’s a 70Gb download, but the downloader requires something like 120Gb free on the install drive.

Also, you won’t be able to just patch your old install. You will need a wholly new download and install because of some changes made a few months ago.

    70 GB?

    Why?

Neverwinter Online for PC is like 14 GB.

    No wonder I quit!

    LOL!!

Shame. as if I could just update the 40 GB I have, I would play again.

So there is no way to edit my own posts?

When you are logged into the Forum, make sure you don't have anything blocking javascript like NoScript or adblockers and you will see a gear next to the right end of your post. Click that and you should get to the Edit frame.

Sorry but you cant compare the 2 games at all. you can buy a new disc (ssd) or an external disc (better ssd)

Ah, OK, cheers. I use AbBlock

[Edit] Yes, blocking AdBlock works a treat!

Yes I can and I know which is the better game.

Oddly, at Steam it claims only 85 GB of disk space is needed and the DLC needs to be paid for separately.

What changes were made a few months ago?

There are still EU and US servers?

According to Steam, it's more like 5 years since I tried ESO:TU

    Time flies!

They made some internal changes to their file structures and whatnot, resulting in somewhat lower patch sizes.

If you don't want to disable Adblock, reloading the page after sending your post should also show the edit wheel.

The extra space the installer requires is used for unpacking, moving, and also creating temporary files. The actual hd usage is really just over 80Gb.

To edit the op, you find the gear at the end of the title block.

That is because the whole game DLC and chapters included is downloaded, but what you don't own is locked. As soon as you pay for a dlc or chapter,or get eso+ it unlocks without extra downloads.
