Twitch drops - Why does it say watch for 15 mins on here but 30 mind on Twitch?

I do not understand why there was a 15 or 30 minute discrepancy, but I believe a person had to accept each drop before the timer would start for the next drop. I accepted each drop as they were awarded on Twitch and received the pet and a total of three crates. From what I saw the drop timer stopped after the third crate was awarded.

One thing I learned yesterday is that your Twitch and ESO accounts must be linked on both sides. I may have already known that from way back when I first linked them. But apparently it's possible for them to become unlinked on one side even though the other side still says they're linked. So check on the Twitch side to be sure Twitch says they're linked, and check on the ESO side to be sure ESO says they're linked.

The 15 minutes was to earn the frog pet.

Totally separate was that each thirty minutes earned you a crate.

If all worked as it was supposed to . . . which it did for me (earned the frog and three crates). I did 'claim' the earned crates one by one each time the timer showed me I had achieved 30 mins. I don't know if that was necessary but whatever I did worked. The only downside is that more simplification would be welcome. I spent much time and effort trying to optimize drops which distracted from my ability to fully pay attention to and enjoy the live event itself.

I think it was necessary to claim the creates so they make sure you're watching the stream. Too many would load stream and just hide it with volume low and collect the rewards. In this method they tired weeding out those people it seems with this system.

I think it was 15 minutes per drop,so for both drops you had to do 30.Today it's 15 cause only 1 drop from stream.Remember,you have to goto your twitch profile and in drops collect em,they will expire eventually.

Was bit annoyed as it just didn’t work properly. And was poorly explained - previously, time to watch for drops was always 15 mins - this suddenly changed with no good communication about it.

1) Yes the accounts are linked both ways - got frog & one crate on Tuesday. (And at other times.) But only one crate on Tues.

2) I claimed when notification came up. But the timer had been stuck on 70% for ages, which meant took longer than 30 mins to get drop.
And then the timer did not start again. At all. Even though I watched the whole 2 1/2 hours.

I am not that bothered really over the lack if crown crates, I am just frustrated & annoyed at a system that does not appear to work as it should.

It’s not Zos’ fault; it looks like Twitch has not implemented this properly, especially on their mobile app. I have complained to them directly.
But I would like Zos to raise these concerns with Twitch too @ZOS_GinaBruno as it’s not really making people want to join/watch Twitch streams, which I presume is the whole point!!

And also more clarity on how many crates available per stream / per day would be good.

i watched the 30 min announcement and part of the live stream, no crate or frog. both twitch and eso say my accounts are linked. such a stupid system

Yea, from what I understand the new "Must claim crates as they are granted" thing is a new thing implemented on the Twitch side for all games and streams that have 'drop' rewards, not a thing Bethesda did... I can't really say how it works, since I've not made it to an ESO stream (and they are the only "drop" stream I watch) since the change, but it does seem very annoying.

AFAIK, you have 24 hours to claim the drop. Maybe even to link account and then claim the drop.
Also I noticed that drops from the Stream Team get applied when I log in into the game, at least that's exactly when I get "code redeemed" e-mails.

I claimed a drop and then checked multiple times. I only got the one crate. I don't like the new system. I watch on my TV so have to also open the app to claim drops because that option isn't available in the tv app.

I believe they come after and you may also have to claim them on twitch, try submitting a support ticket within the game.

It used to be 15min, then 30min, now it's 1hour. It's just going to get worse and worse.
