I didn't exactly "hated" it but more ended up pretty disappointed. I was expecting a smaller chapter this year but that annoucement generated just 0 interest for me.
I already skipped pre-ordering Greymoor for the first time, but ended up buying it discounted to get Mythic items. This chapter I'll probably skip completely until it joins ESO+, if I'm even playing at that time (which I doubt).
I think the story will be fun, but this is more like a DLC and less like a Chapter from what they annouced so far.
Now that we've established you don't care about a bunch of your other fellow players and that you should utterly ignore everything players like me have to say... (thanks?)
... new story, zones, and lore are always a good thing. It's what makes Elder Scrolls what it is. If this game didn't have depth there, a lot of us wouldn't have bothered with it at all. The developers are well aware of this, I wager. That they specifically showcased the ability to choose your tutorial is a testimony to this. That news by itself was incredibly exciting. The rest? It's more of a wait and see. Greymoor was (understandably) rough around the edges and while chapter pre-orders are usually a no-brainer for me, the quality of Greymoor just wasn't there and I'm concerned that'll continue for Blackwood.
They said little about the companion feature, which has the potential to be very interesting and already looks to have way more depth to it than I was expecting. It also has the potential to be a horrendous un-fun grind, which this game has been guilty about manufacturing over the years. So again, a wait and see.

Yea that you can choose your tutorial now might be a good thing for new players, and i have absolutely no problem with that.
But pretty much nothing in that chapter is going to do anything for a veteran player who isnt mainly questing.

So... the part where they are still doing two dungeon DLCs and a trial? Did I imagine that? Hmm. Great. I'm suffering from hallucinations now. Oh dear....
