Remaining Holds of Skyrim

Will we ever explore the remaining 4 holds of Skyrim: Falkreach, The Pale, Whiterun and Winterhold ?
During the afternoon of Loredas, 6 Sun’s Dawn 2e578 a big piece of Aetherius fell to Nirn. It was the first major piece of Aetherius to fall on Nirn in more than five hundred years. It scattered around the world as millions of shards. It was rapidly documented by Lady Cinnabar of Taneth in her pamphlet Aetherial Fragments that "... when three shards meet, they re-form into a silvery prism by unknown process and confer the power unlocked by the merger to a nearby being." The Order of the Black Worm, commonly known as the Worm Cult, reappeared in Tamriel shortly thereafter and some of its members are avidly searching said shards.
In the last week of First Seed 2e579, an arcane explosion occurred in the Imperial City — a night of storms, and trembling terrain. They named it the "Soulburst". That day Emperor Varen Aquilarios disappeared without a trace. His wife, Clivia Tharn, ascended to the Ruby Throne as Empress Regent under the guidance of the Necromancer Mannimarco. Ushering a time of increased instability within the Empire of Cyrodiil which finally grew into “The Three Banners War”.

Sure, eventually. As long as they game keeps running they are going to need new areas for DLCs and chapters.

Wasn't Falkreath already used for a group dungeon though?

It was. Technically the Falkreath Dungeon entrance is in Craglorn, but that's a specific event. You could easily drop people in Falkreath after the events of the dungeon.

There was also another excursion into Falkreath (I think, it might have been southern Whiterun) in the Dark Brotherhood expansion.

As for Falkreath, there is no reason the Falkreath dungeon and a Falkreath DLC or as a part of a Chapter can't exist together. The physical location of the dungeon might need to be reworked, but I haven't looked at it, so no idea what it looks like atm.

About Falkreath, don't forget that Helgen is in Falkreath as well so even if the main city of Falkreath is destroyed, because it must be consistent with the dungeon or something, we can still have a zone with a city in it.
Otherwise if they make Falkreath and Whiterun into one chapter, the issue becomes even smaller because then Whiterun would be our hub.

Would actually be neat to visit Helgen before it gets destroyed by Alduin

Yup I never get why people think the dungeon would rule out a zone. At worst they'll just have Falkreath walled off but there's more to that hold then the town with the lake and woods not in the game at all. But they could have the town too, the dungeon is a closed instance during a specific event and the overland version would be separate.

Maybe we'll get to become the Once and Future Thane of Whiterun.

It's guaranteed at this point. You can already be the Thane of Solitude, Falkreath, Shieldthane of Morthal and Swordthane of Karthald (although there is no title for that one).
If anything Rift and Eastmarch are the strange ones for not making you Thane there.

Right? What do I have to do to become a Thane in Eastern Skyrim? Even "Skyrim for the Nords" Ulfric made me a Thane after I won a Civil War for him.

I mean, I only saved King Jorunn from assassination and then the whole Rift from being stomped flat by an angry Giant. Come on, guys!
