Of jewelry and traits

I know that question in answered in numerous corners of the net, but I see everything and it's contrary, and nothing really recent, so, I figured I'd ask.

I'm a magsorc. I use 2 pets, and have a pretty standard rotation (dots-curse-spam). What would be the best jewelry trait to use?

Some says infused (around 300 flat damage, constant troughout the whole fight, susceptible to be further augented by buffs (maj/min sorcery)

Other says bloodthirsty. (a whopping 1050 damage by the end of the fight, but a slower start .. also at odds with amplitude (sorc passive, reverse execute)).

Both outperform arcane (especially since the pets reform). But wich one should I use as a persorc? Infused or bloodthirsty?
Wouls the difference be noticable?

The last I did any reading on the topic from credible theorycrafters the consensus seemed to be that the difference between Infused and Bloodthirsty is much smaller than it used to be.

Bloodthirsty still has a small edge in longer fights where you have more time with the max Spell dmg stats active.

That said, as a sorc you have to consider that you have a "reverse execute" in the form of Amplitude which does shift things a bit more in favor of having all of your damage front loaded right from the start. Especially in bursty situations. Also if you run around with a self heal Bloodthirsty does nothing at all for your heals, while Infused will.

Tldr: Bloodthirsty is a little better in longer fights. Infused is a bit better for burst and utility. The difference is small either way you choose to go.

Exactly... long fight = long execute = long effect of bloodthirsty.
th3asian did the math and made a pretty good video about it.

Thank a lot for the answer.
I'll stay infused for now, then, and deal damage at the start so my stam friends can go all out and execute at the end.

A lot of people tend to forget that the last phase of a boss fight is usually the most dangerous one, and bloodthirsty makes that phase shorter.

I think if any magic class can make an argument for infused, it's probably sorc, but I always recommend bloodthirsty if you are changing from Arcane. It's been said, but don't overlook how a lot of fights play out. The opening is usually a hard stack and burn for at least a bit on just about any trial boss. As the fight progresses, more mechanics come into play, and execute is typically the most intense phase of them all. Even if they were dead even on a dummy (I am pretty sure bloodthirsty is still a tiny bit ahead these days), I would still opt for bloodthirsty in actual content.

If you are already running 3 infused, I wouldn't kill yourself to change them, but I do believe BT is marginally better. In PVP or places like the solo Arenas, I think the arguments for infused (or even arcane) become more compelling.

Everything makes sense, thanks. And the point about the execute phase being the most important makes sense.
I'll consider transmuting 1 or 2 pieces and see.
