Stormfist monster set question...

Right at the bottom of the tool tip it says the damage dealt 'Ignores Spell Resistance'.

But it doesn't say it also ignores Physical Resistance, even though it is a stamina orientated set.

Anyone know if this is as intended or a tooltip error ?

Tooltip says shock dmg ignores spell resistance...read tooltip till end

Stormfist is only really good on stamsorc and even then there are better sets. Unfortunate really because it has a great animation when it hits!

Stormfist proc contains 2 parts.
First is immediate shock damage.
Second is delayed physical damage.

Since Stromfist is a stamina orientated set shock damage would be mostly wasted.
For that reason they made the shock damage ignore Spell Resistance so first part also can deal a reasonable amount of damage while being used by a stamina dd.

Yeah I still use it on one of my Stamsorcs, it works great, really like the stun plus damage. The animation is indeed funny.

Since posting my question I have found out that the general consensus among those who have tested these things is that Stormfist is in a good place right now and is as good an option as any for it's particular purpose for Stamina builds.

yep, Stormfist def does not have a stun component
