Best Class for AOE speed farming CP?

Paragonx78
I had asked a similar question in general and realized it would be better suited here, and I think people misunderstand as they kept giving me places to grind CP and I was just curious if there like an optimized build for CP farming. I saw a nightblade build for gold farming with max movement speed and wondered if that was possible for CP farming to have a super efficient way to pull and mow through large groups with fast speed?

Puncturing Sweep on a MagPlar is a good AOE skill for zombie farming if that is what you are asking. I use a lightning staff for aggro / pulling them in. You don't want to kill them too fast to allow everyone a chance to get hits on them.

I want to add that I don't do this for leveling CP, although sometimes for leveling new skills. I find just doing random normal dungeons on multiple alts gives me plenty of CP and also transmute crystals. Tanks and healers have little to no wait to get in.

Thanks, yea I was just curious if there was like an optimal build or class that was better. I really enjoy making alts and get bored of playing same class/build very quickly. I was thinking of trying something new is all.

Tanking seems different in this game, I think I'd have to research it a bit  But having nearly instant queue's is nice.

I enjoy tanking more than I thought I would and it is not hard to play in most random normal dungeons. You need to know mechanics for the DLCs, but watching videos can help with that. However, you need to know the mechanics for DPS also.

Magic DK with Heavy lightening build. Pale order for healing. Use combat metrics to get your pene to 12.2k and the rest into damage multiplers. Have the fighter's guild passive that gives ultimate back for trash kills maxed.

You're really only using 4 skills then, molten, wall of elements, firey breath and eruption.

You should have no problems running through Skyreach by yourself with this, you'll just need a guildie/mate to be in group with you while they do something else so that you can reset the group.
Formally SirDopey, lost forum account during the great reset.....

What is skyreach? This a dungeon or delve? And why do you need to reset group? hehe sorry all this is new to me :)

    Thanks though for the suggestions.

Stamsorc with a partner in Skyreach. Go 2hander only need one bar do not use pets. Front bar Brawler, Hurricane, Crit Surge, 1 Fighter's Guild ability, Bound Armaments and either Flawless Dawnbreaker or Atro. Between the shield brawler gives you and crit surge you are unkillable except the lag monster. Bound is only there for extra stam. Boring as can be but you will fly through each time.

Previous Post from the other thread, but I thought of something new:
I have trained all my alts to lvl 50 and beyond I do not care. No need to spint in a Marathon.

I found that levelling Stamina Characters can be slower than Magicka, basically because Class Abilities lean more towards the mag side and then maybe one gets a stam morph. Thus one has to utilize one or two Weapon Skill lines. And that slows your overall progression, because you will be constantly very short on skill points. Maybe that is less of a problem when you level CP.
Plus there are not that many stamina self heals. Warden has one. And then there are only Vigor (PvP) and the Circle from Fighter's Guild. I could be wrong, but the picture is clear, I think.

Magicka Characters can simply use a heavy attack build with lightning staffs and class support skills for the three major buffs that you want (Sorcery, Resolve and Prophecy), self heals and maybe DoTs. Works great and gives a lot of attack power and no need to concern yourself with sustain or survival. And you can use the Light Armor shield ability on all classes.

That is what makes Warden and Sorcerer the best classes for levelling.

Skyreach is THE OLD SCHOOL grind spot for ESO. It is a instanced group dungeon in Craglorn. You will be alone if you go SOLO! But it is something for CP300+ Players. Really diffcult on lower health without shields.
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

The Ring of the Pale Order has probably made some otherwise bad options for farming a lot better than they used to be, but historically, I think the best answer has always been Magic Nightblade.

You basically use Sap Essence and Soul Harvest on your front bar, which leaves 4 skills you can level if you need. On the back bar, you use Elemental Blockade, twisting Path, Mystic Orb, Siphoning Strikes, a Shield (if you need it), and the destro ultimate. I was able to use this setup at CP 160 on my alt account to easily solo skyreach.

Use LAs to pull the mobs, then stand your ground, put down your ground/AoE dots (blackade, path Orb), and spam sap essence. Soul harvest is just there for passives, but in a farming scenario, you will build ultimate ridiculously fast. You can practically overlap your destro ultimates, which you cast on cooldown as well. In places like skyreach, you can easily solo the instance, and also make gold for carrying people. In fact, if you are carrying a random, you tell them to literally do nothing but shield/heal as you can stack and kill better without them messing up the pulls.

Plenty of gear options, but I farm in False God, Grothdar, and julianos. I like one crafted set so I can easily use training gear, especially on my weapon. I even have some training grothdar and false god pieces I made. False God is great because in a farming scenario, you always have major expedition, and of course, the minor slayer and cost reduction is nice. Grothdar is hard to beat for AOE, but just about anything could replace julianos (even a 4 piece and RoTP), as long as you have training pieces on your front bar weapon and all your armor..

Nightblade with Soul Harvest is the only right answer. You get ultimate so fast and can drop the destro ultimates frequently. Killing mobs with a destro skill is how you sustain.

Pale Order isn’t really needed with Sap Essence but could be used if you want a totally safe approach.
