Vampire eviscerate weapon replacement concept

So not sure if this is a general discussion topic or not, but it’s an idea for the devs
(If you only came to complain read last part of the page)

Skip ahead for new ability concept functionality/ stats

The vampire while I really like the changes they have made(and abilities added) you gave us an ability which functions like a claw attack and costs magicka(unless morphed) but your using essentials a melee attack to do this and only one other ability in the game(that I can think of, dragon knight claw attack)

So why not change evicerate to be a toggle and replace light and heavy attacks. the damage you do would be modified by the ability, but based on the stats of your weapons

-Eviscerate (version 1)

Consumes x amount of magicka per light attack to strike an enemy dealing x magic damage and restoring x stamina
(Heavy attack replacer) Consume x amount of magicka when held to strike an enemy three times dealing x magic damage and restoring x stamina 25% chance to restore x health

(Slotted bonus: makes light attacks 50% faster)
(Deactivation upon insufficient resources)

Morph 1:
Heavy attacks are now guaranteed to restore health, but only light attacks restore stamina
Slotted bonus now doubles the speed of light attacks, but at a 50% increased cost per light attack

Morph 2
Consumes stamina per hit dealing physical damage, and heavy attacks apply a poison tick on final hit dealing x poison damage per second for 6 seconds can only be applied every 6 seconds (per target basis)

-Eviscerate(no cost variant like phsijic heal)

Description:
light attacks strike an enemy dealing x magic damage and restoring x magicka
(Heavy attack replacer) when held to strike an enemy three times dealing x magic damage and restoring x magicka

(Slotted bonus: makes light attacks 50% faster)
(Deactivation upon insufficient resources)

Morph 1:
Heavy attacks are now restore x health, but only light attacks restore magicka

Morph 2
Deals physical damage, and heavy attacks apply a poison tick on final hit dealing x poison damage per second for 6 seconds can only be applied every 6 seconds (per target basis), restores stamina instead of magicka

Reasoning makes vamp spam Stan and magic friendly, the vampire lord in Skyrim had claws which Harkon always made a big deal about so why can’t we use them more? And while the current eviscerate isn’t bad, it doesn’t really feel like the best fit to me. The slotted bonus isn’t necessary, but the mend wounds ability has it and I think there should be a combat version of a melee override ability(and I mean a non class locked ultimate) this would also be the closest thing to brawling unarmed combat(visually anyway) in the game which would acquire able on all characters

I personally think the no cost variant would be better, as is since it would do physical damage and restore stamina, not deal magic and restore stamina, but this gives vamps a good spam that is also useful for stamina users. And from a balancing perspective I’m looking at this from a pave aspect and fun factor to make vamps feel more immersive, but it would probably have nerfed stats in pvp

If you don’t play a vamp(this content idea isn’t for you) or only intend to make the typical “that’s OP” comment across all other game rework ideas then, Karens please exit this forum now

    I'm guessing everything you just came up with is still melee only? If so that's the last thing me and a few other people calling for a revamp of the revamped vampire skill line want. Now you do have a point about this "claw" attack needing a stamina morph, but due to the way ZOS has set it up, their reusing of the wrong animation, and how Eviscerate works ingame has led me to believe its not even a claw attack at all. Its a blood magic spell like Vampiric Drain but instead of draining your foes life it rends them open like a can opener.

    I think their melee light/heavy attack idea would work better if it were a passive of the scion form or something along those lines.

    But yeah, I literally don't want vamps to have a melee only spammable. We want blood magic. But the melee spammable on a morph for the ultimate or something. Or make it a morph of the ultimate's light and heavy attacks.

    There were some similar ideas on the PTS forum, while Greymoor chapter were tested, this for example, from this topic:

    Additional features while in Transformed form: No cost to toggle on and don't decreases Satiety on each attack.

    Clarification: Thematic vampire attacks. Replaces regular LA and HA, because of that weapon enchantments stop working while this skill is toggle on, but your LA and HA gets another properties: powerful slow or increased Healing done. Also with this toggle you can choose what type of recources you want to restore on HA, you can restore Stamina with your sword and Magicka with this toggle. At the moment of the attack, weapon disappears from the player’s hands, similar to psijic Mend Wounds skill. If you prefer vampire aesthetic in spammable attacks you can go HA build and attack primarily with claws and red magic spheres, while keeping the opportunity to use regular spammable skills.

    Also were ideas to make Vampiric Drain act similar to Mend Wounds, light attacks - fast drain, heavy attack - channeled drain similar to what is now.

    There were alot of interesting ideas at Greymoor PTS in PTS Update 26 - Feedback Thread for Vampire & Werewolf thread, if you interested in vampire theme and possible changes in vampire skills and appearance i would recommend to read this topic, it will be interesting.
    Sadly ZOS didn't change anything after PTS, so doubtedly they will change something now, especially when they stated that they will avoid new mechanics next year to focus on perfomance. Maybe they will do some minor tweaks, maybe will buff Vampiric Drain, but nothing more, i think. I hope i am wrong.
