Why so many trading guilds recruiting with no trader in place?

Almost every trading guild I see recruiting in zone has no trader hired when I look at their recruit message or guild link.

Who wants to join a trading guild with no trader not even a trader in a remote spot.

Why not just recruit as a new guild aspiring to be a trading guild some day rather than mislead players ? Just a thought cos i see this a lot

There is an option in the Guild listing to see guilds who currently have a trader if you wish to see only those, though you need to bear in mind that because of the way the traders are allocated there is no guarantee that they will have a trader after the swap on Tuesdays.

Otherwise guildies can trade amongst themselves by using their specific trader who sells in any bank. For people starting out and who are new to trading this can be a good way of beginning.

a lot of times the info is actually glitched and they actually have a trader ---- some guilds have taken to putting this info in the guild info screen instead of where it says " trader "

As it was mentioned, the guild trader info bugs regularly and not all trade guilds get a trader every week. As long as you have X( i think its 50) members you can trade in guild. A trade guild has to start somewhere.

Seconding the above; there is an intermittent, apparently, glitch where it looks like the guild has no trader, when it actually does. Three of the guilds I'm in regularly get a trader, but people still freak if they miss the announcement that yes, we did win our trader, the guild home page is borked again.

Also, the last 9months or more has been crazy with getting a trader.
I have a small, social guild, but we were able to keep the same trader pretty regularly, but now it is a flip of the coin week to week. Even the BIG traders are having to shuffle around and some weeks don't get one.
So it just may be they missed bids for that week, but will have one next week and the GM doesn't want to keep changing its info each week.
    Just my 2 drakes... Huzzah!

I don't even look at that cause sometimes it's bugged. I know which guilds consistany have traders simply by shopping. After so long you recognize guilds
