Might be the smell.

True. There don't seem to be many (if any) showers, bath houses, or laundromats in ESO, just lots of sea water, lake water, swamp water, and hot lava that we can go swimming in. Lots of ways to get sweaty and stinky, not to mention getting coated in the blood and gore of our enemies. Not so many (visible) ways to get cleaned up and pleasantly-scented afterward.
Or maybe our familiar smell is actually our favorite-- and distinctive-- perfume or cologne?
But this has always been a bit of a joke in TES and other RPG games. "Oh, it's you!" Despite the fact that we just removed all of our gear and replaced it with some menacing-looking Daedric armor.
Welcome to the new scheme of content creation: you can go through old content and it doesn't effect to anything in a new content. More repeating Vestige's questions for newbies, yay!In this case Lyris Titanborn doesn't recognise me at all. (I've just started West Skyrim btw) Also House Ravenwatch, my character asks "Whats that?" even though I've dealt with them so many times over the course of my characters adventures.

I did the quest recently on a character who didn't meet him in the AD storyline and Raz did not recognize me. He called me a newcomer and told me I look capable
Hi there,
A part of the game I've always loved is when we meet npc again and they recognise us and we can ask the a question like "Ohh how have you been since I saved your life" or something like that.

I'm just wondering is this happening to others? Is it a bug perhaps or what? I mean Lyris and I have done so much together and she's talking like it the first time we've met.
I really hope its not permanent as even though its just a simple thing it really makes my character feel real and like she has a history in this world. I love talking to characters I've met before and having a simple little chat about past experiences is very cool.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience?
Thank you
eventually the citizen of Tamriel are more natural folks, washing themselves in rivers or troves not needing any artificial smells or even not liking them at all. It is not natural to smell like a freaking flower as a human being.
