    Linchal Manor
I bought Linchal last year (2019), so I will be possibly getting grand topal this month.

Linchal is a good house. It's one of the few notable houses that you can fully decorate the interior and still have slots left to decorate the courtyard. Some people block off the house and just decorate the massive courtyard. I built an extension between the house and the outer walls, creating a terrace and extra building.

I haven't bought it yet. I assumed I will probably use the large shallow ocean area to build something there. Maybe build an ocean village or something else.

I'm still thinking about it, but I'll definitely go with Linchal if I do, because the house itself is roomed and not a large empty space. I already drew up a plan to make a sort of outside amphitheater for a dueling club 😋

The problem is the more and more I think about it the less happy I am with the cost of notables for only 100 slots additional, when I can pay half the price for a cute classic and have the same amount of fun decorating it.

I already own Grand Topel. I don't like Linchal. I like the house itself and the barn but the outdoor area kills me. I hate the layout outside, all the weeds, the nice walls that they failed to capitalize on, the mosquito breeding pit in the center of the yard, etc.

I am waiting on Stone Eagle Aerie. It is the only home that i have ever waited on and only because i expect(ed) it to be available relatively soon. Though ZOS is starting to annoy me now with their stupid marketing gimmick, so it may yet be another sale they miss out on from me.

I have my library in Linchal - the only difficulty there are the very thin walls and floors if you want to sink something in them they poke out of the other side if you're not careful. I would wish for another 700 slots there, the outside area I had to leave empty because no slots left. So, no chill-out reading café outside for me, and no map research facility in the barn. Sad sad.

    Grand Topal... not for me.

The one in Markarth is interesting but no idea when it will come out.

I really like Linchal but I have to wonder what's coming. Houses seem to be getting better and better and they are all amazing but I don't know what to do. I could get Linchal and be very happy with it but might wish I'd waited if a new home is preferable. My Imperial has a home already but I could do anything with it and she could own more than one house and I may have another Imperial eventually. This is my thought process.

Topal is huge. Massive. It's a whole island. It has a small village with several houses and platforms, a separate beach cabana, extensive shore and sea area, a small ruin, and just yaaaards of natural island landscape. It's pretty cool if you're into that sort of thing (the normal Argonian houses are mud, this is the sleeker reed style), and there's definitely more freedom there than in Linchal.

What I really like about Linchal is the layout - it has several individual rooms inside, and it has super stylish Nibenese Imperial architecture. It has a fancy garden with a reflection pool, but also enough area to build something unique - like some Roman 'ruins' or a hedge maze or something. The extra building is also nice, but really the garden and the main house are the selling points (did you see those coffered ceilings? *chefs kiss*)

Definitely wait. I spend weeks in another game building full cities(Conan exiles) so ESO is limited to what I'm used to, but I want one house (Lakemire ) to see what I can do with it for my argonians. I already have several houses but if I really "throw in" it's gonna be that one.

I thought that I was going to buy Grand Topal Hideaway as I really like the idea of an island, beachfront and love the tropical forest and water features; but so much of the property is taken up by awkwardly arranged architecture. I have bought other properties whose architecture I haven’t liked but not for this price. I mean, it wouldn’t be bad if there just wasn’t so much of it, IMHO. So I’m disappointed. I was really looking forward to running around my own tropical forest!

I'm waiting patiently for Stone Eagle Aerie. It's amazing in every way, I'm sort of new to housing and this is going to be my first long term project. It has great views, decently sized interiors and a lot of potential changes can be made to the outside.

I like (and own) both Linchal and Topal. Lots of space in both. The only thing I don't like about Linchal is that I can't pull out the weed growing between some of the tiles in the garden, but other than that it's gorgeous.
Topal is great because you don't have to do much with this island at all. It feels like a holiday resort right away, so there's little you'll have to do to make it look cozy/habitable/whatever. Just some campfires, a bunch of rugs and pillows, a couple of bowls and glasses, and voila! Resort.
Unless you wanted to rebuild it into a necro lab or something. That would be ... interesting, to say the least.

Between the two I prefer Linchal Grand Manor.
Though I'd prefer it to be smaller.
I'd prefer it to be in Anvil.
I'd prefer it to be Benirus Manor.

I do love the isle but I don't like the stilt structures. An empty isle would be great. Or at least with removable structures. In fact, I quite like the Moon-Sugar Meadow *but* the type of vegetation isn't my favourite (as in Shadowfen, it's flourishing but with a wild connotation, opposed the lush, relaxing vegetation found in Auridon or Artaeum IMO).

Amongst the super uber (Crown Store Exclusives) homes that could be available, I think Princely Dawnlight Palace is my favourite one *but* no, ok, I stop here XD

Or wait ... coming up soon
    It depends on personal taste.

    But I put wait.

That and with the furnishing limit and the size of the larger homes, no matter what you do, they always look like they are under renovation even with ESO plus.

The houses have become too spacious and look empty after maxing out the inventory space, unless you subdivide the home, leaving some areas inaccessible, but this is only after you've paid full freight for a large home. I've taken a pass on the last several big home sales, because for me, its not worth it.
