PC NA Connection Issues. Is there something wrong with the server? Currently having 4k ping spikes.

I log in and there is a connection error, once i get into the game my ping frequently spikes to 4000. I thought it was my internet and i checked in cmd and its not, my ping is frequently stable on other games except ESO. I've never had terrible ping problems until now is there something wrong?
Is there anyone else having severe connection problems right now?
