I was in a guild and left and I sent one of the guild members a thank you letter.
I want to change my @name as I do not want to be contacted by other members of that guild due to a few being extremely insistant.

My question is: When i change my @name will the person that received my letter know i changed it? Will it show in the letter I sent them before I quit the guild?

Also, if I block people after I change my name will they still see my name in a letter i sent, or in the guild log. I do know guild logs say @name left guild.?

Really I just want to move on and go on my merry way without having to explain my reasons for quitting the guild and cause drama. I have enough going on in my real life and i play eso to relax not stress cos i dont fit into a guild and they wont accept it. Also I get very easily guilted into things I really dont want to do just cos im a soft .

I didnt want to make this a long question but if i dont explain with some detail some people assume the worst. Im not saying you would,😊Just the odd one that might jump to conclusions . Thank you in advance for your replies 😊❀

When you change your @name, it will be updated in all references to it that haven't been handwritten. So messages you've sent (sender), and player lists (friends, guilds, ban, ignore etc) you appear in will be updated too.

As a side note you don't owe an explanation to anyone for leaving a guild, and harassment should be reported in game.

You can change server, or create a new account. Or put anyone you no longer want to be associated with on ignore. Failing that, if you have a really good reason for wanting to disappear, you can reach out to customer service and see what they can do to help you out. In the past, I have heard stories of players being stalked online that have had to ask for certain measures. I can't speak for ZOS on what those are, but I am aware steps have been taken for individual cases historically.

After the first time you straight out tell someone to heck off and realise that it is an option, it gets easier. Can't recommend enough.

You can probably set yourself to appear offline for a few months and people will probably forget hopefully.
