Was going to buy a ps5, but didn't want to deal with the whole ordering fiasco so said screw it n bought a PC. No regrets. Though I will definitely miss all you guys, at this point (besides the name changes) I feel like us vet ps4 players, whether you love em or hate em everyone kinda knows everyone a bit. Oddly enough, when I queued into cyro to get my skillpoints on PC, i saw toxicnebula in zone chat! lol

I have played ESO on ps4 since 2017. Thousands of hours, and thousands of dollars (probably) spent.
It worked more or less great for the first year or so...and for 2 years has been at best what i would call 'not great', and for the past year it has been almost literally unplayable; laggy, lots of crashes/bluescreens/freezes, and of course the various bugs and glitches.
I held out hope for a while it could be fixed, and recently I was honestly believing most ps4 players didnt have it as bad as I did, and that i just had excessive problems due to my location/internet service (lte wireless connection max speeds 20 down/4 up). I was not happy about this, but I work in IT and understand sometimes there are limitations.
.....
That being said, I recently purchased a new PC capable of running any game at max settings (i10 cpu+3080 gpu).
ESO was cheap, so I said why not see if it's any better on PC.
I wasn't optimistic since I have heard it isn't much different on PS5 or even PS4 Pro vs the OG PS4 that I had.
.....
Now I realize that running around overland grabbing skyshards and doing mindless xp grinding isnt the same as a last emp keep fight in cyro...
But I have played this game plenty to know this is entirely different.
I am not going to spend time describing all the differences, because it can be summed up by just saying this game actually works on PC.
.....
I hope that any console players that are still playing daily realize they are getting shafted.
It may not be criminal (since we all agreed to the TOS), but it is for sure unethical, and if i were an employee for ZOS, Bethesda, or Microsoft - or on the board of directors for any of these companies - I would be ashamed, and would be doing anything and everything to fix this game, even if that meant rolling back updates, shutting down the servers for a time, or even hurting the bottom line ($$$).
.....
If this were a different world, and ESO was PC only and was only now releasing for next gen consoles in the state it is today... it would be a massive PR disaster.
Look at cyberpunk. I haven't played CP2077 on PC or console, but from watching videos and reading reviews, that game literally got pulled from the PSN store and (in my assessment) does not have issues as severe as ESO does.
.....
One last point, as this also made me pretty unhappy though I wasn't surprised - I had messaged customer service, to inquire if it was at all possible to transfer anything from my ps4 acct, specifically said even if i could only get one character and change the name, or some collectables, or...like...anything, and even said I would pay $$$ on top of buying the game and eso plus again.
They said nah fam.
I wasn't surprised, as I know that is the 'official' response, but I thought maybe being a 3yr player, with tons of $$$ spent I might get some extra assistance; especially considering the state of console.
.....
Not sure what exactly I hope to accomplish with this post...
Side note, anyone wanna trade all my stuff on PS4 for all their stuff on PC? Or help me out with some free stuff to help me grind up? Plz?

Open a ticket with Sony, posting here does nothing.
You pay for Playstation Plus to play ESO, it's Sony's responsibility to you their customer.
All Playstation players should open a ticket and start filing all complaints, ss, video clips, crashes, etc...with Sony.
Maybe if ZOS has a content update pulled/refunded from the Playstation store they will think twice before releasing rushed content.
Gatdangmayne wrote: »I suppose you could have a point, but considering one of the major problems with eso is bluescreening, and a bug report to sony is auto generated pretty often when eso crashes I dont think that would really do anything.
The cynic in me says the only reason CP2077 got pulled is it was massively hyped and dropped around the holidays along with a next gen console release. Otherwise it wouldn't have gotten enough attention.
