How do you display your own title?

Small practical question: I see characters with a variety of titles on display above their heads, like "Champion of Vivec", etc, plus what look like Guild names, and so on. But I can't find any setting that produces this for me. I've tried enabling titles under the "Nameplates" setting, but all I get is my character's one simple name, plain & unadorned.

What do I need to do to make this happen?

Press C and in your stats screen you ll see a drop-down at the top right part of the window. You choose there which title others will see.
