Maelstrom Weapons Drops - A suggestion

This has most likely been said before, but how about implementing the same kind of solution you guys did with the undaunted chests a while back?
Give the player some sort of Maelstrom (or whatever arena you’re playing) currency as a reward upon completion and then let us use said currency to buy a random weapon from a specific set (staff, 2h etc).
Iv played about 15 runs these last 7 days and i got 6 ice staffs and 4 bows, which is frustrating, but knowing i could use those 15 runs to buy 3 or so weapons from the actual set im after would be reassuring.
