How about allowing our toons in house like house guests

We can display our mounts. How about allowing us to park our toons in our house? Will make our house more livelier.

And allow us to access other toons inventory! Finally easy access to our mules!

Just using the existing system an npc houseguest could be assigned a character to mimic the appearance of - would need to change out character models/textures/attachments (weapons/clothing/costumes). Not that complicated really. It might take a bit of coding to do but would also cause no more performance issues than the houseguests we currently have if done correctly.

I thought about this too. And I came to realise that the problem is that the toons do not have any interactivity. There is litterally no background to them and no dialogue to do.
You would only get a generic NPC that looks like your alt toon, but wouldn't be him/her.
Or you would need an editor to make house guests on your own and an option to import looks. But that on the other side means more commitment and resources to the housing "mini game". I am not sure that is possible atm.
read, think and write. In that order.

A little awkward when you are playing the toon that is placed in the house though :)

This would basically require having more than one character logged in at the same time, and allowing the player to interact with both at the same time. I don't know how that would even work.

Besides, since all your characters share a bank you already have access to their inventory.

It would be quite amusing for when people visit your house, and all your different characters are pathing around, and the guest has to figure out which is the player and which are NPCs.

This is a thing I would love. It could work as a token like change name one, to use in the login tab. You use it on a char and get a houseguest of that char as it is looking in the moment the token is used.

    YES, PLEASE!

I would absolutely LOVE this. Considering how they do the costumes and customizations, i don't think this would be as hard as some say but my question would be more along the lines of "what happens when you're playing on that character". Would there be TWO of you? Would the houseguest just be a random character from your alt list, specifically to avoid this?

Regardless, as a guild leader, it would be great to have alts and even friends/alts roaming about. They would just need to seriously rethink what house guests are labeled as, so you can have more of those. It's not like i need 60-80 slots *just* for busts and heads.

For me it would be a backstory problem. Why should my alt show up at my mains house at all? They experience (at least when I play the same storyline with both of them) the same things in a parallel world, but consequently they would not meet. Although explanations could certainly still be found... Anyway, I'd rather have other house guests.

I don't care about NPC houseguests, but I would like to be able to let other players use my house as invited guests. Not like it is now where they can just come over, but where they could actually log off there and "stay" for extended visits.

And I'd really like to be able to have player guests stay at my Lodge, and make it really feel like the guest lodging I decorated it to be. Just having NPCs walk around doesn't cut it.

This brings up an interesting point.

Each character has a different version of Tamriel when you are playing. How would they reconcile that?

It might crash the game trying to have that much complexity to keep track of all the choices.

You might think these things are simple to implement but there are a lot of details to consider.

You can already see that not following the original order of quests leads to strange situations, people are suddenly no longer dead, don't know you any more, etc. You only have your own imagination to give things the right “logic” in case of doubt. As far as the characters and the houses are concerned, I really make a separation here in the game - so my alt never uses the numerous houses of my main.

Definitely a must have but as you can dress your own players would this not take away the crown sales of bought ones... unless they introduce crown ones with more depth.
