When I see Firor slog it out on Cyrodiil even on a semi regular basis, I'll take what he has to say about the state of ESO seriously.

    BOOM!! :D:D:D

"And of course, in closing: please know that everything we do on ESO is for you, the community."

    Oh please...

3+ weeks on the PTS of the community telling these guys their game had some serious, easily reproduced issues...only to be ignored and have the broken, buggy mess called Markarth released, says far more about their communication and why they do what they do. That and the joyless, tone deaf, cerebral force march of spreadsheet combat development that began long before the effects of the pandemic set in.

I think you misunderstood the hidden meaning there. Everything done is for us, the community. They're doing things for the greater whole, not you the player. I got pretty ticked when they started nerfing Crit Chance sources, especially the CP one from 12% down to 9%. I appreciated the new Khajiit passives but was upset they got a lesser amount of Max resources than other Races did. They also pretty much ruined my for fun 1H&S StamDK DD build I used in overland PvE by removing almost all damage from 1H&S abilities and giving Tremorscale a cast time, but I understand that was for the betterment of PvP gameplay.

Before I came back to ESO after WoW's Shadowlands came and flopped, I would brag about how the devs of ESO were really great at communicating and being a part of the community with their online streams, etc.

Understandably, that seems to have massively changed since the pandemic.

I have high hopes for 2021. The first half may still be rough, but I believe the game's performance will improve.
I also hope to see more communication with its playerbase in the future.

Thank you for the article, ZOS.

Like the 2020 year of performance? Game runs like ass in group pve and pvp lol.

I have sympathy for the devs working on this.. I really do.

They need time and ressources. Not more bad coding to be stacked on top of already broken one.

This has been a huge flop in leadership and ressource management - and even they acknowledge that.

I'm not sure ESO would survive another 2020 to be honest...

Yeah, ill stick to the same expectations as in the past 6 years, ill belive it when i see it.

We have seen posts like this, with different excuses as to why the game has issues, and every single one of those ended up going the same place: Nowhere.
