Defile

Even though defile has significantly been nerfed, why isn't there at least a light armor version of defile that does some form of defile damage?

    There are 5 sets that apply Defile, only one of them is not heavy or medium, and it is a ground based AOE set that is pretty useless unless you are a tank standing your ground.

    So it is a fair point that the sources for defile are more exclusive to stamina based builds and sets. Especially when defile is a universal method of healing reduction. And the other status effects you listed are just more damage to a player.

    One point I've always wanted to clarify is that Poisoned and Diseased chance are also increased by the Destruction Staff's Elemental Force passive, right? It isn't limited only to Burning, Concussed, and Chilled.

    Charged trait, disease enchant.. happy days for a very long period on a noCP MagSorc. I've dropped it now as less viable each nerf (major to minor then minor cut %)

    I think they are asking about a set bonus that comes in light armor, probably for magical builds. Something like Ward of Cyrodiil has for medium armor or HA that has Affliction and some other sets.

    However, I do see they are asking for a form of defile damage even though defile is not a damage type. As such I could be wrong with my assumption.

    Here's the thing buddy! Majority of the defile sets have weapon damage, meaning a magic damage character can't utilize those sets. Maybe think a little harder before posting?

    No you are correct I guess people require specific elaboration as to what the OP stated, however there isn't really ANY defile light armor sets.

    There are 5 defile sets in the game, 1 of them is medium armor, 3 are heavy, 1 is an undaunted set.

    2/5 sets have weapon damage, unfortunately that is not a majority.

    Stop trying to find ways to prove your point. There isn't a defile set that is light armor with spell damage.

    Your original question;

    Why isn't there at least a light armor version of defile that does some form of defile damage?

    I would say there are a couple of reasons that the defile debuff is not on any light armor exclusive sets.

    1. Light armor is used by two types of toons Damage dealers, and healers. The sets developed for light armor users mostly fall into those two archetype. Many light armor exclusive sets are Healing sets, and do not have a Heavy or Medium armor equivalent.

    2. The damage type most often associated with the defile debuff is disease damage which is a type of physical damage.
