Not if they plan to reuse the feathers or make something different happen to the Nascent Indrik. The question really is why can anyone buy the feathers with such a critical currency if the feathers are now deprecated?

In order to get enough Nacsents to complete any evolutions they've missed out on in 2020?
I'm pretty sure that with ZOS proclaiming an end to Indriks, they will not longer use Indrik feathers. I am, however, not prepared to die on this hill

Again that is the point, why can players, the majority who do not watch the forums or current events from ZoS, still buy feathers if they are now useless?
It sets a player up to waste effort and is not respectful at all. Most players will buy the feathers assuming they are still needed unless they get word of mouth. This is a very poor practice on a company's part.
It would be very easy to clarify this, make an official announcement specific to feathers and there is no issue then.
The Crimson Indrik will be ESO’s final Indrik evolution, so don’t hesitate to snatch up this striking red mount!

They've already said there won't be any more indriks after this event and that the feathers and berries won't be available in future events.
I hope they will be available again at some point, but for now if you've got all the indriks you want from the existing selection there's no need to get more feathers.

Because the feathers aren't useless until the event is over and you can't earn any more.
Say that you just got enough tickets to make your Crimson Indrik (or any of the other Indrik variations), but you want a nascent one as well. You need to be able to buy the feathers, still.
They'd only be guaranteed useless for someone with all the indriks, including a nascent one.

I want specificity on things like this because it is really not recommended to assume anything with ZoS Devs.

Otherwise - I would like to use my over-abundance of tickets on the cool new furnishings offered during this event. Err... I mean, Group Repair Kits.

Yeah you used to be able to buy cool furnishings with your New Life tickets, but now it's just useless feathers and berries (for those of us who have every possible Indrik), redundant style pages and pet, and an Indrik pet that you can earn in 2 days. (Does anybody actually use group repair kits? Lol)
With nothing worthwhile to buy with all the available tickets, I'm just playing my regular game. I'm sure the orphans all have nice iPhones and Beats headphone by now from the thousands of gold I've donated every year in Grahtwood. They won't miss me!
Am I the Only one not even trying to get the base indrink in my collections?
