servers melting down again the last couple days, why?

The lag has been off the charts again the last couple days, even more than we are becoming accustomed to. Even when the game tells us it's 120ms, it takes 1-2 seconds to start sprinting when you press sprint, and the delay is identical for bar swapping and using skills.

What's going on? Why is it so much worse the last couple days? There aren't even any event's going on today.

PC-EU server has been extremely laggy for me in general after markath release. Been playing the game for 3 years now, never recall this much severe lag.

2018-January to 2020-November : ~170ping (game feels responsive and playable)
2020-November to 2020-December 6th : ~300ping (game feels neither responsive nor playable)
2020-December 6th to 2020-December 15th: ~170 ping (I was so happy)

Since yesterday my ping is back to 300.

More people have time off and can play a bit longer than recently, I suppose. And as usual the horrible infrastructure and software isn't even remotely able to keep up with increased player numbers.

Yep, I have had that issue a lot the last couple of days, both in Cyrodiil and while trying to decorate one of my homes.

It's made fighting the ww groups so much more fun! /s

Just started attempting Vateshran on 600ms-1000ms. Love it when you can't do content anymore because it takes 20 minutes to even settle down.

Yep had that tonight on ps4. Was just trying to do some fishing man why's the game gotta lag even when I fish.

Just trying to help a buddy farm a couple dungeons and the desync delays ping latency lags are off the charts and unpredictable I had to apologise and log so not to get overly frustrated where it puts me in a bad mood. How can your first initial skill engage well after your second third and fourth skill engagement?
Also is vigor like a backed up skill where it doesn't engage till well after you press it so much that it finally decides to go but like you are having an epileptic fit?

I feel like ZoS move the problems of cradhes etc into another area of broken expertise

This is what ZoS believes to be entertaining game play?

The game is working as intended. Many people are enjoying their quests and housing with no issues. Nothing to see here.

Gray Host the other night was the first time I ever experienced this "unplayable" state I have read about on the forums. It was absolutely unplayable.

It seems to work best straight after maintenance and terrible when we are close to the 2 weeks without. I have also noticed it is a bit of *** show everywhere...

100fps 80 ping and ESO is a damn slide show sometimes... Like ZoS what in the heck... No communication over bug issue and peoples skill points and server is about to keel over and implode ...

Just now my tank's taunts stopped working in dungeons, or worked only occasionally and with a long delay. Having to taunt enemies multiple times to grab their attention once caused an unmanageable drain on resources. Boss encounters were bugged and lagged, and a considerable portion of the mobs spawned long after the group had passed their position and hit us in the back. I have had similar problems before when the server was unresponsive leading up to a reboot, but it was never this bad.

Your post is a deflection from very real and very substantial ongoing problems with performance.

Still seeing plenty of lag spikes all over the place and haven't had a trial run since Markarth without multiple DCs (admittedly didn't run for the first two weeks because I just couldn't face the weaving / light attack bugs).

It's been bad lately even on PC, I've had lags doing writs, running, riding, fighting, even getting mats. To the folks not having problems that's great but it is not the norm. I have been enjoying the NLF writs, and they have been fun but the lags kill any enjoyment.

I had similar issues in Gray Host so i went to IC.

I don't recall any lag in IC, so If you are looking for fun you might want to try the CP campaign. We had a really good fight yesterday, all 3 factions were fighting each other in the middle of the district boss.

That's interesting, I pulled off of ESO because the lag was so bad, jumped into FO76, and yesterday it was a lag festival also, its gotta be a Bethesda server thing.
