PVP is getting to many exploits

Now since I have said this let me explain.
#1) Way to many unkillable builds, not better players, just better use of a build.
and they are killable its just takes 10+ players. Now days even siege doesn't bother them.
#2 Certain ball grps, that are now somehow able to hide 12 players in a opposing faction keep.
Solution, make any keep auto death to all opposing factions for 1 min. That clears even the turds that seen to hide in a keep for hours just to get 1 kill. AUTO Death.
These few but becoming more and more, think its funny to have a God mode, its not.
#3 Players that somehow get all abilites to fire at once, not to sure how this happens, but pretty sure its not lag, at least not lag everytime.
I have a nice computer with 1T down and 50mbs up. So even though i do get lag at times its stupid server lag.
Betting the peeps the try to excuse any of this are the offenders :) LOL...

You don't need an auto kill for keeps. You DO need to check the areas where a 12-man group would possibly stealth out.

Same for gankers. Seriously, search your keeps, stay alert,, and don't assume you are safe until you are back in your alliance base.

    1. That's ZOS' way of closing the gap between the low and high skill players. Every clown can get the gear that will do the heavy lifting for them.
    2. Not an issue if you know how to deal with a ball group. Your solution won't work because it will be exploited: flip the flags and close the doors, instakill, no fighting involved. There's a potential to wipe faction stacks with just 2 coordinated groups
    3. That's desync and it happens to everyone all the time.

There is precedent for the auto death - if you stay behind the enemy gates after they close for too long, you take 1 million damage when entering the temple or when jumping back out over the gates. I think applying this to being inside an enemy keep after your team has lost it is a good idea. The lurkers are getting really annoying, and you have to choose between hunting them down or moving on. It's boring, time consuming, and you're never even sure if you have got them all.

Insta-death after a few mins if you stay inside a repaired enemy keep is a great idea.

I do not care for PVP in this game, but if I could have a tank build that kept me alive, I might entertain it.

Could you link to me, or send me a PM of an easy to use tank PVP build that is basically a troll build. It might make it easier for me to farm skyshards.

    What, seriously?

Everything from even #1 is just.. i mean EVERYONE can wear the same build if they want, yet when they do.. well, you know what comes next: "Hmm.. its not this build i see, not working like on that one streamer.. hmm - it must be cheating!" The excuses never end.

I do not that much enjoy the current procmeta, so not saying that, because there are sets that deliver automatic damage even from range with just 1 light attack or 1 skill press things like Sheer Venom (even after nerf it still is a lot of free damage from a safe distance) that Archers like, and same as snipers feel like they have right to use things like that, same right has melee brawlers to use things like Crimson for healing when outnumbered.. but what i do say is that a good player with same procs+mythic is still better than someone who was not doing well on stat meta also, facts.

Also, how so many that has played ESO for years still do not know how delayed burst skills work and how different abilities can also have different travel time to hit the target and can be made hit in a rapid succession and some all at once. I mean, they are not used all at once but with regular GCD and light/heavy attacks with them on the side.

Learning simple mechanics and realize how things work, play all classes and learn their skills, passives and so on. Makes the game more enjoyable when understands what all classes can do.

Also, join a ballgroup and see how things are done there, you also learn what kills them if not already know.

With current server performance.. you know how much there is desync so sudden deaths because so many things hit at once and your character is often already dead for couple seconds while you still see yourself alive on your screen and so on, not "exploits" but just performance, we all get it to happen to us on top of the current crashes to desktop and disconnects at big keep fights. You know what desyncs a lot? Lethal Arrow, still many use it. Is it an exploit? Nope. But how easy it is to come to forums with burning torches and pitchforks to burn all the "exploiting" witches.. and then go back in game to spam snipe, and others get death desynced from 5 snipes all connecting at once due to the server.

Something to think about, hopefully. :)

I believe a major issue is the proc sets. You can see a lot of people wearing tanky, proc sets and when you are fighting multiple enemies (ie Cyro) you get so many procs on you that often times you don't even get the chance to have a decent brawl from trying to avoid/cleanse all those proc effects.

I play with 23k health, a super fast bow-bow build (Darloc + damage set + Wild Hunt + Krags for pen) and get in people's faces. No procs, no shields, no Evasion, just cloak, RAT, and momentum. It is fun as hell. I die, probably more than I want but generally less than I should.

In other words, there are other ways to play the game provided your crew is cool with it or you solo. And I can assure you there is fun to be had.

Instadeath is a bit much but they could:

    1) have guards with stealth detection patrolling the walls
    2) when they spot an enemy make the guards follow anywhere they go inside--no losing aggro because a guard is tied to a spot
    3) if the keep isn't flagged when a guard inside the walls is killed it should spawn two more to take it's place.

People could cheese it for a bit still but before too long they'd have a good crowd of aggressive guards chasing them around chain stunning with no coodown, plus negating, rooting and throwing damage so they'd have to bounce out or die. Would work against NB and ball groups trolling.

    __________________________Backstories:_________________________

Ras Kalik the Vestige, a renown Redguard warrior; He has been blessed to save Tamriel from Molag Bal’s destructive Planemeld while reuniting the Five Companions. His further accomplishments after defeating Molag Bal, has been to stop the destruction of Morrowind, the Clockwork City, return order to the isle of Summerset and create a new king in Wrothgar and a queen in Elsywer. These events have made him a living legend and continue to lead him into new adventures throughout Tamriel, as well as into the hearts of many ladies including the Elf Queen, Aryenn. Over many years of adventurous travels, Ras Kalik had become a loner, until he re-visited his homeland of Alik'r.

Alik'r and it's cities were overrun by the undead Ra-Netu and therefore he made an allegiance with Alik'r's own Ash'abah tribe. These Ash'abah with his help, cleansed the city of Sentinel in Alik'r desert and it's surrounding areas of the undead brought to life by the Withered Hand. After rescuing Sentinel from the undead zombies, King Fahara’jad’s personal bodyguard the Goliath of Hammerfell, who was given this name by Imperials in the region; was asked to assist the tribe after learning of the defeat of the Withered Hand to the Ash'abah. Kalik promised Goliath he would task him with fighting living enemies on the battlefield if he so desired. Goliath being a Yokudan warrior wields a massive sword in respect to the Ansei, a gift given by the Imperial, Cinan Tharn. Not many soldiers are able to wield double two handed weapons, but Goliath loves to get up and personal in a fight, so he also carries a giant maul, both weapons laced with magical flames.

Jux Blackheart is a master thief that masquerades as a Bard at the Sisters of the Sands inn, with his younger sidekick Lucky Hunch for pilfering and gambling during this time. Jux was known to infiltrate any towns bank vault he came across and even delved into Ayelid ruins without detection. Kalik can vividly recall the night he met the famed thief. Jux found himself rummaging thru a slightly inebriated Kalik’s pocket for too long, on a full-mooned night and because of his greed and the glimmer of his golden armor in the moonlight. He lost his left pinky fingertip as a lesson! But in return, he gained a new friend, as it was his first time since a child being caught red-handed...

Upon arrival back in the Alik'r after many moons of adventuring, Ras Kalik ventures to Bergama. Visiting The Winking Jackal, he runs into Jux Blackheart, who introduces him to the coin game Crowns vs Forebearers (Heads vs Tails) and Golden Dwemer (RBG).... Jux constantly takes gold from the unfortunate thru theft or gambling, his biggest gambling victim is actually his partner in crime known as Lucky Hunch the Gambler. Lucky doesn't mind losing any gold coins to Jux... as Jux saved him from Altmer slavers in Summerset, by stealing a key and sending him on a boat to the mainland years prior. Lucky spent years in slavery with Khajiits in Summerset and picked up the art of subterfuge, using illusion magic disguises and stealing there.

Kaotik Von’Daemon an outcast, and a half-caste between a Breton mother and a Redguard father. Kaotik become a pariah due to his conjuration of Daedra pets. He was taught healing magic during his childhood years by his Breton mother. His father due to Redguard customs exiled him from the desert, sending him by wagon caravan to be a soldier in the war in Cyrodiil. He happened to meet Kalik while traveling from Alik'r, during this long caravan ride the caravan he was in was ambushed in Bangkorai by a group of bandits. Kalik by chance was also traveling thru this area on his Auridon Warhorse (which was bestowed to him by his friend, Darien Gautier). During this ambush, Kalik was able to rescue five hostages from the bandits. Kaotik was the first rescued, and Ras Kalik also recruited him to be in the Ash'abah tribe. These core Ash'abah tribesmen may never be seen together in travel as they partake in their own adventures but they always know what each other is doing; as they frequent a hideout in northern Bankorai. Their hideout an old Orc castle ruin, is kept watch by Nuzhimeh and she passes messages written between them, and frequently they also enjoy her company and her bed.

The other men rescued were a Dunmer banker, an Imperial mercenary and two other soldiers, an Imperial and a Breton Knight, stating proudly he was an Akavir descendent. One of the Imperials, Cinan, claimed to be related to Abnur Tharn the Battlemage of the Imperial Elder Council (One of Ras Kalik's mentors in the Five Companions). Cinan Tharn was really Abnur's drunkard treasure hunting illegitimate son. He was caught smuggling artifacts out of the Ayleid ruins in Cyrodiil and the elder of the two Imperials was Tyrus Septim a retired Imperial navy battle-mage (now a Lycan mercenary living in the city of Rimmen) and guard to the Tharn family. As much as Abnur Tharn hated his half-sister Euraxia, he dislikes his bas†ard son Cinan more. Tyrus now a ruffian and privateer had been paid by Abnur Tharn to watch over Cinan as much as possible. Cinan Tharn a drunkard, loves to drink at least a quarter barrel of Nord mead before he raids various delves and dungeons for relics to sell on the black market. Cinan also plans to one day, run an illegal gambling ring... which he thinks will net him more gold for his wares.

The Dunmer captive shackled to the Imperials looked familiar to Kalik from his time in Morrowind.... and he recognized him as Tythis Andromo a House Telvanni slave-owner and banker from Vvardenfell. During a rough interrogation to Tythis, Ras Kalik learnt why the bandits accosted him. The racist Dunmer was providing slaves as soldiers for the Three Banner War. The bandits were trying to negotiate a lucrative ransom for Andromo and the Imperials.... Kalik did not need any of this gold and he could never set Tythis free as he did with the two Imperial soldiers. His past involvement with slavery and war crimes, made Kalik's blood boil. He chose not to execute Tythis, as he figured the worse punishment for this former rich and opulent slave owner, is to now be an imprisoned servant for Ras Kalik and the tribe.

Herzog Zwei the Genesis a reknown Imperial/Akavirri battle-mage. His roots going back to Akavir through his mother’s bloodline. (His mother is descended from the Akaviri, through Versidue-Shae, and his Imperial father met her in Hakoshae, while traveling) Herzog earned the nickname "the Genesis" from his father as a child, as he was his mother's first born child, and last, as she tragically died in child-birth.

Herzog was seeking to purchase an artifact from Cinan Tharn, before their capture and was meeting Tyrus while in Rimmen, who introduced him to Cinan. This artifact being the Ayelid artifact; the sword Sinweaver. After their rescue and the exchange of gold to Cinan for the sword he decided to slip away before Ras Kalik could question who he was, and why the Akavir descendant really wanted that sword. Herzog was headed to Nagastani — An Ayleid ruin in eastern Cyrodiil. He had read in scrolls that the Sword would give him magical powers to meet his mothers spirit, if he performed an Ayleid ritual at an old shrine hidden there. Equipped with the artifact sword, he was off to start his own adventure but Ras Kalik, did indeed notice the sword however and instead sent a letter to Jux Blackheart (whom also was interested in Ayleid treasures), to attempt to find Herzog and acquire the sword. (*Azani Blackheart in Elder Scroll's Oblivion is Jux's descendant some 747 years later)

And so the Redguard, Imperial and Akaviri men parted ways ... While Ras Kalik went off to Elsweyr to encounter the latest threat to Tamriel, with Abnur Tharn and Sai Sahan - - DRAGONS!! Little did Ras Kalik know a few people were awaiting him in Senchal besides Sai. A necromancer survived his attack on the Withered Hand, while in Alik'r. The necromancer known as Auriek Siet'ka is also following him to the land of the Khajiits and Cacique the Sage of Ius a Shaman mystic who has become attuned spiritually with Tu'whacca (a Redguard God) and Ius (the Animal God), after being burned severely by the escaped dragons in Elsywer, is awaiting his arrival also. Aurik is a soldier of the Daggerfall Covenant that was introduced to necromancy while in the military, even though this magicka art is not spoken of openly by most of the Military leaders. He came to Alik'r and worked with the Withered Hand before Ras Kalik intervened on their plans. After the defeat of the Withered Hand, he aligned with the Worm Cult, and is constantly adapting and perfecting his necromantic arts.

After his journey to Rimmen, Kalik heads south to Senchal, in the southern regions of Elyswer. This new adventure will also put him on a path to meet a strange Redguard man. The stranger which was infected with an untreated Peyrite disease and also was the exiled from the Order of the New Moon cult, due to his sickness. He originally joined the cult to worship Laatvulon, the green dragon, mistakenly thinking it was the Daedric prince Peyrite. This confused and suffering cultist is known as Tsar al-Bomba and he is on a path to spread the disease. He was originally infected in Orccrest while recruiting members there. Can Ras Kalik and the shaman Cacique cure this poor soul, only time will tell. Little does Tsar al-Bomba know, that his infection is tied to Vampirism, and eventually the desire for blood will take over his mind. Senchal also offers Kalik his latest love interest... Aeliah. Whom he fondly led thru battles with the Dragonguard.

After the trek thru the heat, tropical and desert climate of Northern and Southern Elyswer, Ras Kalik heads north to the cold mountain range of Skyrim. His companion friend Lyris beckons for him with a letter sent by crow...

Movárth Piquine - a former vampire hunter (now infected), within the Fighter's Guild (and a secretive necromancer) was in Skyrim working with the Morthaal Guard. On a patrol mission he was caught in Frewien's ice curse outside of Morthaal with the frozen undead. Movárth's vampiric infection kept him from becoming an undead minion to the curse. He was able to use necromantic ice-magic to encase himself safely until he was freed with Freiwen, when the Vestige Ras Kalik broke the curse.

Uri Ice-Heart - brother of Urfon Ice-Heart. The twin sons of Atli and Oljourn Ice-Heart. The Ice-Heart family are originally from Markarth but now reside on the Jerall Mountain range near Cyrodiil, with their younger sister Araki. The twins had joined the Winterborn Reachmen while living in Markarth. Urfon pushed west to Orsinium with the Winterborn Clan, leaving his family behind. Uri stayed behind with his parents and sister to live in the family cabin for safety, avoiding the Vampire plague infiltrating the Reach. After news reaches him and he hears of Urfon's death... Uri leaves and heads home and is seeking vengeance. Meanwhile, his sister has also moved on to Windhelm to join the Fighter's guild. He will visit his sister, once before going to seek vengeance and she will craft him armor mixed with ice, called Stalhrim armor. Uri fearing death, after his brother's passing, falls victim to the convincing talk of Movárth at a Nordic tavern, and will also becomes a vampire.

This, my most legendary PvP run was on an AD keep DC and EP was fighting inside it, most assumed the keep would fall soon so they ran away but repaired the outer door on the way out.
I provided general artillery support from the keep, as I was the only AD players all the kills was solo kills, so much AP.
Had an artillery duel with one guy trying to break the door from the inside :)
Finally one side one and then breached the inner door so I ran away.
it was an long fight, it would not be much longer without me.

For #3 are we referring to the 5 dwsings in 1-2 seconds thing?

I've been told that's dsync. I've also been told its macro pad.

Who knows. Happens on console as well.

I actually don't disagree with this. I wouldn't have a problem with these builds if their proc sets didn't do a ton of damage for zero investment.

If an entire faction of players is incapable of finding an entire group of enemies that are stealthed, that's their own fault and they deserve whatever happens.

As a side note if a player, to say nothing of an entire guild, wants to hide in a keep for hours just to get 1 kill, I really feel sorry for them and I hope they get the mental / psychological help they need to make their time on this world more meaningful.
#3 Players that somehow get all abilites to fire at once, not to sure how this happens, but pretty sure its not lag, at least not lag everytime.

Many of the abilities in the game have delayed damage, so while you may get hit with some at one point, the game's cooldown system prevents a player to activate them at once.

Proc sets allow players to bypass the cooldown system (one of many reasons why they are so strong) and lag is notorious for desynching skills such as snipe.

Then, if you have the Crowns you can then purchase those completed Skyshard zones for a new Alt. And, yes, this causes some players wince and scream "Pay to Win!" How would you feel if ESO REFUSED to allow you to purchase completed Skyshard zones or other Crown Store things??? Yeah, looks different from that side of the argument, eh?

    Stop playing CP PvP

Quite enjoy CP, wish they would make CP Battlegrounds an option also.

cp pvp is horrible and has no arguments for validity. The unkillable tanks plague has infested no cp bgs now too, adding cp to bgs will make things worse. CP pvp is either stalemates or one shots fiesta.

It's still what is the word I'm looking for.... FUN. Also they have NO-CP Imperial City and NO-CP Cyrodiil, so all Non-CP players can actively choose where they want to PvP.

But someone who enjoys CP, cannot play battlegrounds, with their same setup.

Just make 2 versions of each.

The same players who cry about CP, love their proc sets of death in No-Cp.

    Its a terrible idea.
People can still be fighting inside a fully repaired keep.
Scroll temples got changed cos of people exploiting and getting into gates when they never were opened.
And even back then it was controversial cos it destroyed a few legit ways to get the scroll.

And now you want the same thing for keep withou the reason to stop exploits

    [Edit to remove bait]

Well if you aren't turning either of the flags, and you didn't stop the defenders from repairing the wall or gates, and you're not hitting the inner with anything, and all walls and doors are fully repaired, what exactly are you doing? Oh I know, balling around the courtyard or inner keep, or hiding in a corner somewhere. If you're still fighting at that point, you're not really trying to take the keep at all. Have em all either flee over the walls or drop dead I say.

Sorry, but I don't enjoy playing 1-skill-using builds, just like many other people here.

Dunno if it helps you at all but yesterday I collected all Cryo skyshards but the 4 behind enemy gates in one sitting with my sneaky crafter. Be a khajit nb vampire, slap on a couple of stealth sets and the Ring of the wild hunt. My stealthed speed is ~190% (missing some from 200% because skill points) so I just run sneaked a big circle visiting each skyshard and cloaking thru delves. It was really boring but I had to do it because crafter skill points blues. Saw few enemy players overland and delves but did not interact with any.

Totally 100% agree. PVP is a mess.

Literal unkillable builds that survive even 1v10, with ease I may add. Last night I hit 1 with literally everything I had, with a character set up for max pvp damage, while they were being engaged by about 10 alliance mates... their health bar would not move more than a millimeter. While 1vxing clearly requires a degree of skill, its broken, anyone arguing otherwise is deeply mistaken if they think this is health for the game.

If they were incapable of killing anyone we could argue their defensive capabilities could be justified... but that isnt the case, once they build ulti and stacks etc, they can deal ridiculous burst damage.

Proc sets... I can almost guarantee you were fighting a warden wearing crimson with 40k hp. This is would not have been a viable build 2 patches a go. Essentially the more people fighting him the more health he restores as the aoe damage done by crimson returns 100% of the damage done. It hits and heals from each individual for probably an average of 3k. So you guys were feeding him a 30k heal every 8secs.

He will be wearing another proc set too that will also do all of his damage with zero interaction from him like syvarras. He was probably spamming arctic blast which damages, stuns and heals that scaled against his 40k health. When his ulti is up he hit northern storm an continues to spam arctic... So many people run this build.

The answer make all damage scale the same. Proc sets should scale with your offensive damage to that of a relative skill. For instance red mountain should hit no harder than dizzy swing at base and scale with your offensive stats just the same. They should crit like skills do as we meaning malacath would need no adjustment. It would be an option for those not stacking crit.

    Stop playing CP PvP

This is not a viable, credible solution for everyone. For some maybe.

The only campaign that is consistently populated and therefore has regular action (fun), is full CP. No CP can get a bar or two sometimes, but not as often.

The rest are more or less constantly empty and therefore rendered largely irrelevant for anything other than very new players and alt characters.
