Transmute Crystals - Why allowing limited amount to be "banked"?

Even with the most recent update allowing more of the Transmute Crystals to be stored in "bank" the limiting is rather silly. Having a limited amount able to be banked only makes it difficult to manage. They are very easy to earn and only have a very limited use. Make the amount to be banked unlimited as are Undaunted Keys, Tel Var Stones, and Alliance Points. Or maybe make them trade able or usable for purchasing items form the Undaunted and other specialty vendors.

Even with ESO+ I am starting to have to store the Geodes on my characters as my bank is full, and you cannot bank or store the Geodes anywhere but on the character that earned them.

The game design answer is that it encourages players to use their transmute stones once they reach the limit, thus meaning they need to continue to do activities to earn more stones as needed. For non-subscribing players who sit on geodes full of stones, it encourages them to think dark thoughts about the extra inventory space they could have if only they subscribed to ESO+.

Left to their own devices, many players will store up enough transmute stones now that they can avoid future grinding for more stones when new gear sets come out in later updates. That's not necessarily ideal gameplay from the Devs' perspective.

Varanis has explained why Xos placed it there but many of us have rendered the limit pointless as we have stored a significant ammount of the monthly geodes from PvP.

With the new collection system more of our inventory has been freed up for storing such geodes making the cap even more pointless.

Just make some gear with them that you have fully collected. Most geodes are less than 25 stones.

I agree 100% that it should not be capped and should be unlimited , they are earned currency. I also think that imperial city/sewer key fragments should be in currency and not inventory items.

I would call it a "bad game design answer". Their intent is understandable, but developing for their "fear" is causing more issues than if they simply allowed all of these things to stack. This is one of the funniest things about game development, devs always trying to control the players only to find out years later that their ideas were unfounded. It happens all too often.
