Hey.
First of all, im in many ways visually impaired and one of the least severe of those is sensitivity to brightness, but it is major in games like this and sometimes its just untolerable. Requires constant adjustments.... One time in Stonefalls, the day is so bright that it hurts my eye andin time makes my vision go blurry. I need to make it darker so i adjust the slider which is, allready way too dark for the darker areas... Then i go to another region or in a delve and its too dark and Almalexias lantern is no help due too dark setting so i adjust, then i finish i need to adjust again to stop that brightness.. Nights are okay when its darker since they are mostly too bright on "Recommended setting".
Suffice to say adjustments go on and the list is extensive..
One major reason for this is, that when the sun is really shining in places like Auridon, Western Skyrim, Stonefalls and many other places, the outside areas are always too bright and the colors get washed out which in addition to it hurting my eyes, makes everything look odd.. Sunny days in reality dont seem to wash colors away, they bring everything to life.
My opinion on this is, that the weather patterns and the brightness, saturation, contrast and settings like that should be adjusted all around the game to make it more constant and natural..
Though one COULD say, that when Bethesda is somehow involved, there is always need to get a weather mod and lightniung mod to make everything look natural.. Fallout Green/Orange tint anyone? Dull colored Skyrim with too much brightness... Basically its a feature ;D
