Can we discuss the ending of greymor and the void(spoilers).

Zenimax, I want void magic. You gave us an expansion about void and created a void elf and no void magic? Please don't tease me. I want to be able to summon tentacles from a little portal with a subscription to bdsm monthly. The ending to me wasn't as epic as sommerset but I loved it. Do we agree that the void is an rpg trope now?

✭✭I'm usually stringent about adding things to the lore, but the story did have a lot of potential setup for explaining a new skill-line in regards to this "Void." I mean, Shadow Magic is in the game in the form of Nightblade abilities (even if I think they poorly executed that theme) so a skill line based on 'void energy' or whatever is not too far of a stretch imo.
The story also sets up an explanation (even if a flimsy one) for bringing back Sword Singers and their Shehai abilities. However, it would be hard to justify from a lore perspective why they are supposedly extinct in later eras though, and it might clash with existing quests and npc's dialogues related to the shehai. Like, all these schools dedicated to studying the art yet never producing a sword and this ressurected dude (Sai) sings a little song and now has a shehai... like wut.2 -

I feel like there is some deeper poetic meaning behind those schools not being able to achieve it. Maybe they are too focused and too attached to the pursuit of manifesting a Shehai to ever be successful. Besides, Sai himself used to be one of these dedicated scholars so that he would be successful is more believable than if it happend to Lyris or Darien.
I do agree though that it's hard to justify bringing back sword-singing properly.This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.1 -

Agreed. Vampirism, Lycanthropy, and Volendrung all have curses associated with them.
Imo, what this game really needs (beyond fixes) is to expand the available combat abilities. This MMO is very lacking in the the expansion of combat and armor/weapon sets are not fulfilling that. Classes are so homogenized right now they don't feel distinct, and we've had the same weapon skill-lines since launch.0 -
